What Cognite is: Relentless to achieve

Cognite operates at the forefront of industrial digitalization, building AI, and data solutions that solve the world’s hardest, highest-impact problems. With unmatched industrial heritage and a comprehensive suite of AI capabilities, including low-code AI agents, Cognite accelerates the digital transformation to drive operational improvements.

We thrive in challenges. We challenge assumptions. We execute with speed and ownership. If you view obstacles as signals to step forward - not backwards - you’ll feel right at home here.

Our Moonshot is bold: Unlock $100B in customer value by 2035, and redefine how global industry works. Join us in this venture where AI and data meet ingenuity, and together, we will forge the path to a smarter, more connected industrial future.

How you’ll demonstrate Ownership

Every go-to-market process at Cognite impacts another. The way we set up lead routing and assignment directly impacts pipeline growth. The way we manage the pipeline affects our forecasts and bookings. Bookings then affect compensation, revenue recognition, and resource planning. You're the architect of the system that brings all of this together.

The Revenue Operations team is at the nexus of the Revenue organization and every function that touches the customer. They are the team that connects Revenue to Marketing, Value Delivery (professional services and support), Finance, and all the other functions through the processes and systems that Revenue owns. You build the architecture that binds the teams together so that any new process, field, report, or automation you create will fit with what's already in place and every stage of the customer journey can be measured.

This is a high-visibility seat. You'll be working directly with leaders across Revenue, Marketing, Professional Services, Finance and Product. Your impact and the way you work with those teams will help determine how the commercial teams operate and deliver value to the customer.

The Impact you bring to Cognite
  • Build the structure to measure our customer funnel from lead to cash to expansion. The stages, fields, data flows, and reporting across your GTM systems (Salesforce, Gainsight, Clari etc.) need to be structured in such a way that the metrics that the metrics leaders need can be reliably tracked.
  • Connect the teams through the systems and processes that Revenue owns. Ensure that handoffs between Revenue, Marketing, Value Delivery and Finance are properly captured so that each team can see their own results and how they fit in the wider picture.
  • Influence change across the various commercial functions. For any proposed process, field, or tool change, assess its impact on the rest of GTM. Flag any conflicts early, align the relevant teams, and help sequence the changes so they all go in at the same time.
  • Collect field feedback and design solutions with GTM Systems. Gather the field input, identify the most important issues, and then work with GTM Systems to resolve them. Ensure that whatever solution you end up with (whether that's an AI agent or some form of automation) fits within the overall design.
  • Govern the GTM data dictionary. Have one set of definitions for data and fields across our systems and define which fields are to be used to answer the questions of Revenue so that every leader and every automated tool is getting the same answers.
  • Speed up analysis and reporting. Work with the VP on forecast, pipeline, and productivity analysis. Shorten the time from question to trusted answer, and replace manual reporting with reliable, self-serve alternatives.
How we measure success
  • Forecast accuracy improves
  • Reporting cycle time drops
  • Improved data integrity across the funnel and customer-facing functions
  • Cross-functional teams use the shared data to prioritize their own fixes and rate RevOps as reliable and easy to work with

What we are looking for

  • 2-3 years at a top-tier consulting firm, or equivalent experience at a high-growth tech or industrial company
  • Systems thinking. You see how a change in one process affects five others
  • Cross-functional presence. You can align Revenue, Finance, and Marketing without managing their teams
  • Comfort with data. You turn a vague process problem into something measurable and sized
  • A habit of asking why a process exists and finding the evidence for a better one
  • Ability to turn messy inputs into a clear, decision-ready point of view under time pressure
  • Skill at turning ambiguous questions into reusable definitions that people and AI tools can both use
  • Interest in learning Salesforce, Gainsight, Clari, and Vasco, and in working with AI tools
  • Exposure to enterprise software, energy, or manufacturing is a plus
A snapshot of our many perks and benefits as a Cogniter
  • Competitive compensation
  • 401(k) with employer matching
  • Competitive health, dental, vision & disability coverages for employees and all dependents
  • Unlimited PTO
