Position Summary

We are hiring a Senior Manager to lead one of our Data Platform teams. You will provide strategic direction and manage the development of our Data Self-Service Platform, driving the end-to-end delivery of a new, critical internal self-service application. Your leadership on this software solution will be instrumental in our initiative to modernize how data is accessed and managed, enabling teams across the company to more easily work with their own data through the user-friendly tools your team builds. This project involves a shift from traditional data handling processes, with your primary focus being on overseeing a robust application that empowers this new approach to data accessibility and decentralized ownership.

About this Role:

This is a high-impact leadership role suited for a collaborative individual who thrives on ownership, stakeholder management, and team mentorship. You will be at the forefront of our data modernization, providing the guidance and support needed to design, build, and maintain production-grade software for the Data Self-Service Platform. While you will ensure technical excellence, your core focus will be on leading engineering talent and aligning technical execution with business strategy.

You will build a solution that provides these capabilities and more to our engineering and analytics teams.

About the Project: Data Self-Service Platform

The Data Self-Service Platform initiative addresses critical challenges in our current data operations. You will build a suite of tools that centralizes data quality and empowers analytics teams to drive insights. Specifically, you will develop a Self-Service Data Quality Platform that enables engineering and analytics teams to monitor pipelines, set up alerts, and maintain data integrity. Additionally, you will build an AI-powered analytics platform that allows analytics teams to automatically generate semantic layers and data models for use by analytic agents, accelerating time-to-insight and reducing manual dependencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic technical leadership for the Data Self-Service Platform (React/Python/Snowflake).

  • Manage, mentor, and foster the professional growth of a team of software engineers.

  • Coordinate project planning, resource allocation, and delivery timelines.

  • Serve as a bridge between engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

  • Ensure high code quality, observability, and robust architecture practices.

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record in leadership/management.

  • Experience leading full-stack teams (React/Python preferred).

  • Strong communication skills for managing stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience overseeing production-grade full-stack applications and gRPC/REST API development.

  • Experience managing containerized environments (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/Github).

  • Knowledge of Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms and relational/cloud data platforms (Snowflake).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Claude AI, AI-enhanced development environments, or modular automation tools like MCPs.

  • Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.

  • Exposure to CQRS, Domain-Driven Design, and MediatR.

  • Knowledge of structured logging, retry policies, and health check integrations.

  • Understanding of security concepts like JWT, Okta, and policy-based auth.

  • Experience with .NET 6+ or .NET 8.0.

  • DBT (Data Build Tool)

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
