Position Summary

Manage a group of Software Engineers responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance of mobile based games. This role requires a forward-thinking, critical problem solver who can communicate across the organization.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members as needed for completion of work items
  • Provide career guidance and facilitation of career growth to direct reports
  • Develop project schedules and monitor project progress in coordination with management
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on new programming methods and new software technologies
  • Facilitate deployment of content across all supported platforms
  • Creation and maintenance of project documentation, such as technical specifications and on-boarding materials.
  • Lead the development of new/innovative game play features and interfaces
  • Create, enforce, and adapt engineering standards and best practices for development
  • Write coherent, organized code and be comfortable working on a complicated codebase with high levels of abstraction
  • Collaborate with project leadership on roadmap, priorities, and goals

Qualifications: 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Statistics or relevant area or equivalent experience

Required Experience: 

  • 8+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years software engineering management experience
  • C# development experience in at least one area of expertise
    • Unity Engine 2022 or 6
    • .NET Server

Preferred Experience: 

  • Live Game operations and support
  • AWS Deployment & Monitoring
  • One or more shipped titles built with a recent version of Unity Engine

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • C# - .NET and/or Unity
  • Understanding & commitment to SOLID & Domain-Driven design principles
  • Understanding of basic database operations and SQL
  • Strong understanding of GIT version control software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience building scalable applications
  • Scrum & Agile methodologies
