At Tilt, we see a side of people that traditional lenders miss. Our mobile-first products and machine learning-powered credit models look beyond credit scores, using over 250 real-time financial signals to recognize real potential. With millions of customers worldwide, we're not just changing how people access financial products — we're creating a new credit system that backs the working, whatever they're working toward.

The Opportunity: Senior Manager, Strategy & Business Operations

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Strategy & Business Operations to take on Tilt's highest-stakes, least-defined problems and drive them to outcomes. You'll sit at the center of our Strategy & BizOps team and move fluidly across corporate strategy, M&A, investor relations, and cross-market business operations — going wherever the company most needs a sharp operator to find the right answer and then make it happen.
This is a senior, high-autonomy role for someone who does their best work without a playbook. You'll frame ambiguous, board-level questions, build the analysis and the recommendation, bring executives and cross-functional teams along with you, and then own execution end-to-end, leveraging AI and automation along the way. You'll also serve as a credible, senior face for Tilt with external counterparties.
This is a remote role based in the US / Americas. Occasional travel is expected for company onsites and market visits (around 4 times per year).
If you're energized by owning critical problems from first principles to in-market results at a high-growth startup expanding access to fair cash and credit, this is the role for you.

How you'll make an impact
  • Lead critical strategy workstreams: Drive top-level "where to play / how to play" investment decisions, owning the modeling & strategic recommendations behind new product lines, licensing, and other structural bets.

  • Drive corporate development: Lead diligence on M&A opportunities and build proactive acquisition theses & target lists across Tilt’s markets. Own investor-relations strategy and execution.

  • Set the agenda on ambiguous problems: Take on cross-enterprise operational issues with no clear owner or precedent. Independently frame the problem, lay out and test hypotheses, build the analysis, and drive implementation of the best solutions.

  • Own high-impact business operation efforts: Lead initiatives within and across markets that build synergy and economies of scale across Tilt’s portfolio, from annual planning to executive reporting, reducing complexity and driving clearer ownership & visibility.

  • Support international expansion: Contribute to new-market selection, entry strategy, and resourcing decisions; from idea to launch execution.

Why you're a great fit
  • You have 5+ years of strategy, BizOps, corporate development, or other operating experience at high-growth startups. Prior top-tier management consulting experience is a plus.

  • You have a track record of owning ambiguous, high-stakes problems from definition through execution, and you move them forward independently.

  • You bring deep analytical and financial-modeling strength, using data to drive decisions and tell compelling stories.

  • You're highly organized and autonomous, comfortable owning ambiguous, high-impact work and building alignment across teams without heavy structure.

  • You're a clear, confident communicator who earns trust quickly with senior stakeholders.

  • You're a hands-on, results-focused operator, as comfortable in the weeds of a model as in front of the board.

  • You instinctively use AI & automation to turn manual work into repeatable systems.

  • You believe, like we do, that people are good for it — and that great products should reflect that trust.

Don’t meet every qualification? We care about potential over your past. If you're bringing ambition and drive to what we're building, we want to hear from you.

What you'll get at Tilt
  • Virtual-first teamwork: The Tilt team is collaborating across 14 countries, 12 time zones, and counting. You’ll get started with a WFH office reimbursement.

  • Competitive pay: We're big on potential, and it's reflected in our competitive compensation packages and generous equity.

  • Complete support: Find flexible health plans at every premium level, and substantial subsidies that stand up to global standards.

  • Visibility is yours: You can count on direct exposure to our leadership team — we’re a team where good ideas travel quickly.

  • Paid global onsites: Magic happens IRL: we gather twice yearly to reconnect over shared meals or kayaking adventures. (We’ve visited Vail, San Diego, and Mexico City, to name a few.)

  • Impact is recognized: Growth opportunities follow your contributions, not rigid promotion timelines.

The Tilt Way

We're looking for people who chase excellence and impact. Those who stand behind their work, celebrating the wins and learning from the missteps equally. We foster an environment where every voice is valued and mutual respect is non-negotiable — brilliant jerks need not apply. We're in this together, working to expand access to fair credit and prove that people are incredible. When you join us, it's not just another day at the [virtual] office, you're helping millions of hardworking people reach better financial futures.

You’re pushing ahead in your career? We can get behind that. Join us in building the credit system that people deserve.
