Sr Manager, Tooling & Enablement (DA238) 

Job Summary 

The Senior Manager, Tooling & Enablement is responsible for identifying, evaluating, implementing and operationalizing the technology capabilities required to support an effective Data and AI governance program.  This role ensures that governance standards, controls and regulatory requirements can be consistently executed, measured and demonstrated through fit-for-purpose tooling. 

This role sits within the Data, Analytics, and AI organization as part of the Data and AI Governance function.  This role will work in close partnership with the Global Technology Engineering counterparts to drives the business and technical requirements necessary for an end-to-end tooling strategy across the data catalog, metadata management, lineage, data quality, privacy and AI governance platforms.  This partnership across the business and technology teams will ensure that governance tooling is aligned to organizational needs, integrated into workflows and fully adopted to enable transparency, auditability, and trusted data use across the enterprise. 

In addition, this role will drive enablement efforts to embed tooling into day-to-day operations, ensuring new and existing programs and users can effectively leverage platforms to meet governance objectives and sustain compliance. 

Qualifications 

  •  6+ years in IT, data governance, data management, or enterprise tooling strategy   
  •  Bachelor’s degree required. 
  •  Experience with tool evaluation, selection, implementation, and optimization of data and/or AI governance tooling. 
  •  Understanding of governance controls, regulatory expectations and audit requirements 
  •  Experience with platforms supporting data cataloging, metadata, lineage, data quality, and/or AI governance 
  •  Strong stakeholder management, training, enablement, and communication skills. 
  •  Demonstrated ability to drive enterprise tooling adoption and operationalization 
  •  Experience defining and tracking tooling KPIs, usage and control effectiveness 

Key Responsibilities 

  •  Work with Data and AI Governance leadership to define and execute the roadmap for Data & AI Governance tooling aligned to enterprise governance objectives  
  •  Evaluate, select, and work with Global Technology Engineering and Implementation partners to implement tools that enable enforcement and evidence of data and AI governance standards and controls  
  •  Works with business stakeholders and Global Technology teams to ensure tooling ecosystem supports key capabilities such as metadata management, lineage, data quality, cataloging, privacy, and AI governance 
  •  Partner with Global Technology and architecture teams to drive seamless integration across platforms and data ecosystems  
  •  Establish scalable operating models to sustain tooling capabilities and governance processes 
  •  Partner with the business stakeholders and Global Technology teams to develop and execute enablement, change management and adoption campaigns and strategies to drive adoption and effective use of governance tools  
  •  Deliver training, documentation, and user support to ensure stakeholders can meet governance requirements through tooling  
  •  Support Global Technology teams with tool upgrades, expansion of tooling capabilities, integrations, and troubleshooting business stakeholder issues. 
  •  Maintain documentation and user guides for governance tools in a centralized repository. 
  •  Benchmark tool effectiveness against industry best practices and emerging trends in data and AI governance. Establish and monitor KPIs for tooling effectiveness, including adoption, data quality improvements, lineage coverage, and control adherence.
