Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer / RF Engineer with 15+ years of experience in networking and RF engineering. The ideal candidate will have expertise in analog and digital voice/data operations, RF system design, communications protocols, and aviation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot RF systems and network infrastructure.

  • Work with communication protocols (TCP/IP, ISDN, Frame Relay, etc.).

  • Conduct site surveys, installations, and system integrations.

  • Perform RF testing and evaluation using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and other test equipment.

  • Develop and implement embedded systems software.

  • Configure and maintain routers, switches, and VoIP networks.

  • Provide technical leadership and supervise junior engineers.

  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and industry standards.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with VHF/UHF radio systems, modulation schemes (QPSK, 16-QAM), and multiplexing methods (TDMA, CDMA, CSMA).

  • Knowledge of network tools (Sniffers, Traffic Generators, Network Simulators).

  • Experience with VoIP protocols (SIP, MGCP, RTP) and test equipment.

  • Strong background in software development (C, C++, Python, Linux, Embedded Systems).

  • Familiarity with aviation test and evaluation guidelines.

Qualifications

These duties are too complex and specialized to be performable with a bachelor’s degree related to computer science or computer information systems or information technology.
