Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth operation of the company's geo-distributed infrastructure
- Maintenance and configuration of network equipment, bare metal servers, NAS
- Maintenance and configuration of virtualization system (VMWare)
- Administer multiple Linux servers
- Monitor the status of services and prompt resolution of emerging problems
- Automate administrative tasks
- Participate in the development and improvement of infrastructure
- Interact with developers, database administrators, DevOps engineers, architects
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position
- Excellent knowledge of configuring and operating active network equipment: switches, routers, firewalls
- Strong knowledge of network technologies: VLAN, STP, static routing, PBR, OSPF, BGP, ACL, IPSEC, OpenVPN, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Experience with VMWare: vCenter, vSAN, Distributed Switch, HA
- Working knowledge of HP/Dell servers and storage systems
- Experience in the administration of Debian/Ubuntu family Linux
- Experience in the administration of monitoring systems, logging, and collection of metrics
- Intermediate or higher level of spoken and technical English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Knowledge/experience with DevOps practices
- Experience with IaC, Ansible/Puppet/Terraform configuration management systems
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services
- Understanding of information security principles, experience with SOC2/PCI DSS infrastructure
- Familiarity with Kanban methodology
- A big plus will be the experience of working on large projects with a significant personal contribution
