Senior Operations Lead

Position Overview

HUB International is seeking an experienced operations leader to serve as the Senior Operations Lead for our Workforce Solutions division. This role oversees the P&L for the practice, working collaboratively with sales and service leaders on revenue performance, invoicing, profitability, and budget management.

The Senior Operations Lead will also manage all operational processes, analytics, systems, and vendor relationships that support the practice and enable our consulting teams to deliver exceptional client service.

Primary Responsibilities

Financial Management & P&L Accountability

  • Oversees P&L activities for the Workforce Solutions Consulting practice, including budget management and expense oversight
  • Develop and manage annual budgets in collaboration with practice leaders and the finance department
  • Monitor revenue performance against targets and coordinate expense management across practice leaders who oversee their individual team budgets
  • Provide regular revenue and expense reporting and meet monthly with finance to forecast MTD and YTD financial performance
  • Participate in strategic project pricing decisions to ensure profitability while maintaining competitive positioning

Analytics & Performance Management

  • Lead all analytics and reporting for the practice, providing data-driven insights to drive business decisions.
  • Track and analyze consultant utilization rates and productivity metrics.
  • Monitor profitability metrics at multiple levels: by project, by division within Workforce Solutions, and overall practice performance.
  • Produce regular management reports and dashboards that enable leadership to assess practice health and identify opportunities.

Revenue Operations & Invoicing

  • Oversee the complete invoicing cycle, ensuring timely and accurate billing to clients each month.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure proper project setup and information flow to support accurate invoicing.
  • Manage the monthly time entry process in EPIC financial system, working with division leaders to ensure consultant compliance with billable and non-billable hour reporting.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and collections activities, serving as the point of escalation for overdue client payments.
  • Track and analyze revenue and sales data to provide insights that drive business decisions.

Revenue Sharing & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Manage and oversee the revenue sharing program with field locations/regions for referred business.
  • Serve as the operational liaison between Workforce Solutions and HUB regions.
  • Coordinate with finance, IT, and sales teams to ensure seamless operations and information flow.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with practice leaders to support their operational needs.

Client Contract Management

  • Serve as the authorized signatory on all client contracts for the practice
  • Partner with sales and legal counsel to ensure master services agreements and statements of work are properly structured and align with project scope
  • Review contracts to ensure required components are in place and terms align with practice standards
  • Coordinate with legal counsel on high-risk provisions (liability, etc.) to determine appropriate risk levels for HUB
  • Manage the full portfolio of client contracts and contractual obligations

Operational Systems & Technology Management

  • Partners with service leaders to manage the full lifecycle of contractor relationships, from hiring and background checking through contracting and ongoing budget management.
  • Manage all operational technology for client service delivery (RFP, affirmative action, handbook, survey, and subscription platforms)
  • Own all vendor contracts and relationships, including annual evaluation, renewal negotiations, and contract management for all practice technology.
  • Coordinate with Corporate IT on technology budget items and ensure proper funding allocation for division tools.
  • Manage annual procurement of compensation data, including surveys and subscription services required for compensation consulting engagements.
  • Partner with national employee benefits operations division on shared technology platforms and process improvements
  • Continuously evaluate technology needs and ROI to ensure tools align with practice requirements and client service delivery.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field
  • 8+ years of operations experience, preferably in professional services or consulting environment
  • Proven track record of managing P&L and operational accountability in a complex organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience creating meaningful metrics and dashboards.
  • Experience with project-based billing, revenue operations, and financial processes
  • Demonstrated success managing vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and technology procurement.
  • Proficiency with operational platforms and financial systems (experience with EPIC, Monday.com, or similar tools preferred)
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on operational execution capabilities

Preferred

  • Experience in human capital or benefits consulting
  • Knowledge of professional services operating models and pricing strategies
  • Background in analytics, business intelligence, or performance management
  • Experience implementing and optimizing operational systems and processes.
