Job Title: Consultant  - Oracle EPM Applications

Education: BS or Equivalent

Experience: 3-5+ Years 

Location: Atlanta, GA

 

As an Oracle EPM Consultant for Cloud EPM FCC & Narrative Reporting, you will provide guidance and support organizations with their Financial Consolidation/Close & Financial Reporting requirements. You will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and optimizing Oracle EPM solutions tailored to meet client needs. This role requires strong technical expertise, financial acumen, and the ability to work closely with clients to achieve their goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into solutions. 

  • Configuration: Support and Configure application components, including dimensions, forms, business rules, calculations, data mappings, and security settings. Develop and maintain applications to ensure accurate and efficient data consolidation and reporting.

  • Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources (e.g., ERP systems, data warehouses) into Oracle EPM Applications. 

  • User Training and Support: Conduct user training sessions to educate finance and business users. Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot issues related to Oracle EPM functionality and data.

  • Performance Optimization: Ability to review/monitor EPM applications for optimal performance. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure timely data processing and reporting.

  • Security Management: Review security controls to ensure data confidentiality and integrity. Define user roles and access levels based on business requirements.

  • Version Management: Coordinate and manage Monthly updates and new features. Assist with determining a client's roadmap for their individual application(s).

  • Updates: Assist in the Assessment of potential clients' needs. Stay updated with the latest EPM features, industry best practices, and financial regulations. 

 

Core knowledge:

 

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.

  • Assess EPM/Hyperion solutions with consideration for client-specific planning needs, rules, intercompany eliminations, and financial reporting requirements.

  • Develop data integration processes to integrate & consolidate financial data from multiple sources.

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance data.

  • Provide guidance on best practices for use of Oracle EPM applications. 

  • Continuously monitor the performance of implemented solutions to identify areas for improvement or optimization and provide recommendations for updates, upgrades, or modifications as needed.

 

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, building strong relationships and understanding their individual business objectives.

  • Conduct regular meetings and workshops to gather requirements, provide progress updates, and deliver training sessions.

  • Offer expert guidance on process challenges, recommending improvements and system optimizations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful implementations

 

Knowledge Sharing and Mentoring:

  • Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Oracle EPM/Hyperion Applications.

  • Share knowledge and expertise, provide guidance and mentoring to junior colleagues.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years' experience in implementing & supporting Oracle Cloud EPM FCC & Narrative Reporting.

  • Additional experience in other Oracle EPM applications (Planning, PCM, ARCS)

  • Proficiency in financial data acumen, data modeling, and data integration techniques.

  • Strong understanding of interdependencies of the Oracle EPM applications.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

  • Project management experience, including the ability to manage timelines, resources, and deliverables.

  • Professional certifications in Oracle EPM applications preferred.

  • Strong calculation script writing skills required; experience with Groovy Scripts preferred

  • Experience in Onestream
