Your time stays where it belongs: on case selection, medical build-up, valuation, demands, and results. What You'll Do
- Lead Your Pre-Litigation Docket: Drive strategy on liability, coverage, damages, and valuation for a robust personal injury docket—from intake through settlement and disbursement.
- Gatekeep the Cases: Make the go/no-go call on every new case—weighing liability, coverage, and damages—and decide what moves forward, what gets rejected, and what needs special handling.
- Direct Treatment Strategy: Guide your treatment paralegals and treating providers to understand our clients' injuries, treatment, and future care needs, and make sure the medical build-up supports the case and the client has access to proper care, and importantly, how to spot an early policy-limits case before it slips by.
- Own the Demand: Every demand crosses your desk before it goes out. Pressure-test the liability story, confirm coverage, verify the medical picture, make sure the number makes strategic sense—then set the minimum settlement value and range for you and your negotiators to work within.
- Direct Settlement Strategy: Set settlement parameters, step in on the hard negotiations with adjusters, oversee and direct the process, and know when a case has reached its ceiling in pre-lit and should be handed to litigation.
- Protect the Client's Net: Approve reduction worksheets and final distributions, catching the missed lien, the bad math, or the too-good-to-be-true reduction before a dollar moves. Clean lien and subrogation resolution—hospital, health insurance, ERISA, Medicare, and Medicaid—keeps clients whole and the firm protected.
- Lead and Mentor: Supervise and develop your support team, run regular full-docket file reviews, and be a leader and mentor to more junior attorneys, setting the standard for excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
- Serve as Client Advocate: Be the trusted voice for clients at the hardest moments of their lives—advising on treatment, progress, and settlement decisions with clarity and compassion.
- Help Shape Firm Strategy: Partner with firm leadership to refine pre-litigation strategy, share what's working across offices, and help grow our Texas footprint.
- Texas License: Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
- Senior-Level Experience: 8+ years of legal experience, with substantial personal injury experience (plaintiff or defense).
- Settlement Track Record: A demonstrated record of valuing and settling personal injury cases at full value, including policy-limits and high-exposure claims, and doing so efficiently.
- Strategic Judgment: Proven ability to evaluate liability and coverage, direct medical build-up, set settlement parameters, manage a robust docket, and direct support staff in executing case plans.
- Lien & Distribution Fluency: Working knowledge of hospital, health-plan, ERISA, Medicare, and Medicaid liens and how to resolve them to maximize the client's net.
- Leadership: Demonstrated success leading teams in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment—a clear communicator, steady under pressure, and quick to solve problems.
- Communication: Persuasive in writing and on the phone—with clients, adjusters, medical providers, and fellow attorneys and paralegals.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with legal research databases, case management software, and modern legal technology, including responsible use of artificial intelligence.
We reward individual contribution directly. Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus an uncapped performance bonus tied to your results—paid monthly. What We Offer
- Base Salary + Uncapped Monthly Bonus: Competitive, above-market base plus performance bonuses paid monthly.
- 100% Firm-Paid Health Insurance: Full employee premium covered by the firm.

- Professional Development: 100% firm-paid State Bar dues, CLE, TTLA membership, and Board Certification costs.
- Full Benefits Package: Life insurance, optional dental and vision, generous PTO, and paid firm holidays.
- A Team Built to Win: Dedicated treatment paralegals, negotiations paralegals, demand writers, medical records specialists, lien specialists, legal assistants, and closers assigned to assist your docket and your success.
