Location: Remote, United States
Lead the transformation of how insurers design, launch, and operate Life, Health, and Annuity products.
Majesco is looking for a Principal L&AH domain expert who can turn complex insurance operations into scalable, product-driven solutions on the Majesco platform. This is not a documentation role. This is a leadership role at the center of major core system transformations for leading insurers.
You will guide clients from business vision to production-ready solutions while ensuring implementations stay aligned with Majesco’s product-first architecture and configuration-first philosophy.
About the Role
Core administration modernization is one of the most complex transformations an insurer can undertake.
As a Principal Business Analyst / Product Owner at Majesco, you will lead the translation of insurance business strategy into Majesco L&AH platform solutions across policy administration, billing, claims, enrollment, and digital experiences.
You will serve as the primary business-facing owner of the implementation scope, guiding clients toward product-aligned solutions that prioritize configuration over customization and ensure long-term platform success.
This role sits at the center of delivery, working with client executives, product teams, architects, engineers, and data teams to ensure that complex insurance requirements become scalable, maintainable platform solutions.
What You Will Do
- Lead discovery workshops with business and technical stakeholders across underwriting, enrollment, policy administration, billing, claims, finance, and distribution.
- Translate Life, Health, and Annuity product and operational requirements into Majesco platform capabilities using a configuration-first approach.
- Own end-to-end requirements for implementation workstreams such as Policy Administration, Group Enrollment, Billing, Claims, Data, and Digital Portals.
- Design scalable configuration patterns for products, eligibility rules, rating, billing structures, and claims adjudication.
- Partner with solution architects and product teams to ensure implementations align with Majesco platform capabilities and roadmap.
- Define integration requirements with surrounding ecosystems, including HRIS, payroll, CRM, data platforms, and third-party services.
- Guide data migration strategy, including policy, member, coverage, and transactional data transformation.
- Lead backlog management, story refinement, sprint planning support, and acceptance criteria definition within Agile delivery teams.
- Define end-to-end test scenarios and support UAT to ensure business readiness for production.
- Mentor and guide business analysts across global delivery teams, raising the overall quality of requirements and solution design.
What You Bring
- 10 plus years of experience in insurance technology, insurance operations, or consulting.
- Deep expertise in Life, Health, and Annuity insurance products and operations.
- Experience working across at least two of the following areas:
- Policy administration and servicing
- Group underwriting and case installation
- Enrollment and eligibility management
- Billing and collections
- Claims processing and adjudication
- 5 plus years leading business analysis or product ownership on core administration system implementations.
- Strong understanding of insurance product configuration, including plan design, riders, eligibility rules, and rating structures.
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable system designs within complex enterprise ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience working in Agile delivery environments using tools such as Jira and Aha!.
- Ability to analyze data models, mapping specifications, and integration contracts, including REST APIs, batch processes, and event flows.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder leadership skills with both business and technical audiences.
