**Role Overview**
As a Senior Principal, you will lead client accounts, drive business growth, and manage high-stakes projects from start to finish. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring strategic alignment, and lead the expansion of Scimitar’s presence across new accounts and service offerings. In addition, you will play a key role in mentoring colleagues and helping shape the firm’s future direction.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Business Development & Sales: Cultivate long-term relationships with senior clients to expand Scimitar’s presence. Lead business development efforts by identifying client needs and securing new engagements through tailored solutions.
  • Exceptional Client Delivery: Lead complex client engagements, ensuring projects deliver exceptional results that meet or exceed their initial value propositions. Act as a strategic leader, driving operational improvements and business impact for clients.
  • Strategic Mindset: Develop and implement high-level strategies that align with client business objectives. Continuously refine strategies based on evolving client needs and ensure their seamless execution by the project team.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Use advanced data-driven insights and problem-solving frameworks to address critical client challenges. Guide teams in developing actionable and innovative solutions that drive long-term client success.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior-level clients, ensuring that Scimitar’s solutions are aligned with their strategic goals. Take ownership of client accounts and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Communication & Storytelling: Present complex ideas and strategic recommendations clearly to senior executives. Craft compelling narratives that support decision-making and drive client engagement.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that all team members contribute to project success. Mentor junior colleagues and provide guidance on both client delivery and professional development.
  • Proactivity & Self-Motivation: Take initiative in identifying new growth opportunities within client accounts. Drive results by owning both business development and project delivery, ensuring long-term success for both Scimitar and its clients.
  • Resilience & Adaptability: Lead teams through dynamic project environments, adapting strategies and solutions as needed to meet changing client demands. Maintain high performance in fast-paced, ambiguous situations.

**Required Skills and Competencies**

  • Extensive experience leading consulting engagements, particularly in the life sciences sector (Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, etc.).
  • Drives firm-wide integration of AI and large language models (LLMs) into Scimitar’s consulting methodology. Leads internal innovation and ensures teams are equipped to use AI tools effectively and responsibly in client-facing work.
  • Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to connect high-level business goals to practical, impactful execution.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex projects and client relationships with senior executives.
  • Proven experience in business development and a track record of expanding client relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to lead data-driven strategies and solutions.

**Qualifications**

  • 10+ years of business management or consulting experience, with at least 7+ years in the life sciences sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Expertise in Program Management, Organizational Strategy, Analytics, Digital Transformation, or related areas.

**Additional Information**

  • Travel up to 80%. Actual travel will vary by client and project.
  • Ability to work across US and International time zones.
  • Candidates must possess US work authorization and fluency in English.
