Today, Mixbook is a global team building thoughtful, beautifully crafted products at scale - and we’re just getting started.
Mixbook is looking for a Senior Product Data Analyst to own and elevate Product Analytics across the company. You’ll partner deeply with Product and Engineering to ensure best-in-class instrumentation, run rigorous deep-dive analyses that shape strategy, and translate complex findings into clear narratives that drive action and change our product roadmap.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a seasoned analyst who thrives in ambiguity, is obsessed with product behavior across mobile and web experiences, and can help Mixbook move faster with trusted data.
- Shape Product Analytics at Mixbook: understand, measure, and optimize the end-to-end product experience across our web and mobile product lines.
- Deliver deep-dive analyses that change decisions: investigate funnels, journeys, engagement, behavior, retention, and conversion to uncover the “what happened” and the “why.”
- Drive successful product launches (0→1): pave the way to analyze the impact of new product launches, including launch measurement, PMF tracking, and iteration insights.
- Act as a trusted thought partner: engage early in planning, help shape the questions, and push toward the highest-leverage work.
- Communicate insights with clarity and influence: write crisp narratives and build executive-ready presentations that translate data into recommendations.
- Lead instrumentation and event design: partner with Product and Engineering to define what should be tracked (events + properties), validate implementations, and ensure clean, reliable data.
- Own Mobile App Product Analytics end-to-end: define the measurement strategy, establish event standards, and ensure the mobile app is instrumented correctly to support decision-making.
- Build and maintain core reporting: create and evolve dashboards in Mixpanel and Looker that are purposeful, trusted, and tied to product decisions.
- Run and scale experimentation: partner with Product teams to identify opportunities for A/B testing, design measurement plans, and analyze results.
- Raise the bar for Analytics at Mixbook: contribute to shared standards, best practices, documentation, and analytical enablement across teams.
- A product analytics expert with deep experience specifically measuring mobile-first experiences (events, properties, funnels, retention, cohorts, attribution, and lifecycle).
- Highly fluent in instrumentation: you’ve worked in environments where events were incomplete or inconsistent and you’ve led the effort to define, implement, and validate tracking.
- A seasoned analyst who drives business impact: your work has materially changed product direction, priorities, or roadmap decisions.
- Curiosity-driven and comfortable with ambiguity: you don’t need a perfect spec— you investigate, iterate, and find the signal.
- A strong product partner with 8+ years of experience in analytics, with the majority in software product analytics.
- Advanced in SQL and able to write complex, reliable queries against large datasets. Experience writing Python code is also required.
- Experienced with modern product analytics tooling such as Mixpanel (or Amplitude), plus BI tools like Looker.
- Strong in experimentation and measurement: you understand hypothesis-driven product development, statistical rigor, and how to interpret experiment outcomes.
- A clear communicator: you can translate complex analysis into crisp narratives for executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Nice to have: experience working on 0-1 product launches, as well as experience in B2C eCommerce / DTC products.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
