Senior Product Designer - Growth

At MagicSchool, you’ll help shape both what we build and how it works. As a Senior Product Designer embedded in a product squad, you’ll influence strategy and roadmap decisions while leading end-to-end design execution. You’ll champion user needs, translate research and data into actionable ideas, identify the most impactful opportunities, and guide teams through trade-offs to deliver intuitive experiences that drive real business impact. This role blends strategic thinking, user-centered problem solving, and strong visual/UI design with the ability to iterate quickly based on feedback and data.

In this role, sitting on the growth squad, you will need to do a lot of quick iteration and experimentation - if that excites you, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for driving towards the following outcomes:

  • Owning the end-to-end design process within your squad—anticipating needs, shaping feature direction, developing concepts, gathering feedback, and iterating quickly.

  • Leading or collaborating on user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys, and data analysis) and translating findings into actionable insights and design principles.

  • Creating impactful, research-backed user experiences that balance user goals, business priorities, and technical feasibility.

  • Ensuring designs are accessible, inclusive, and meet usability standards.

  • Representing the customer voice through strong design advocacy, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative insights.

  • Applying best practices to create intuitive, scalable interfaces—adhering to design system rules and contributing to the system’s growth and evolution.

  • Partnering with engineers, PMs, and designers to drive alignment, solve challenges, and deliver high-impact features.

  • Contributing to the growth of design culture within the organization.

Experience & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring the following experience and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product design roles.

  • A well-rounded portfolio with case studies that showcase elegant, results-driven solutions to complex, multi-step workflows.

  • Experience leading design on large, cross-functional projects, including with remote teams.

  • A proactive, resourceful approach (you get things done) with a strong ownership mindset.

  • Experience with design systems, prototyping, and usability testing.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, adapting and pivoting as needed.

  • Comfort using qualitative and quantitative data to inform and validate design decisions.

  • Strong communication skills; able to clearly articulate design rationale and advocate for users across stakeholders.

  • Strong experience & expertise in Figma

  • Experience prototyping with tools (e.g., Lovable, Google Stitch, Figma).

  • Experience working with a SaaS product that has both B2B and B2C audiences.

  • Familiarity with A/B testing your designs.
