Facet is a fast-growing fintech company revolutionizing personal finance. We're building a future where everyone can enrich their lives beyond expectation through our powerful combination of cutting-edge technology and personalized financial advice.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer who balances world-class visual craft with deep product thinking. At Facet, design doesn’t just solve problems—it inspires. You’ll be responsible for creating experiences that delight users, set Facet apart from the competitive landscape, and blend high-end lifestyle aesthetics with intuitive financial tools.

Responsibilities

  • UI design & visual storytelling: Design beautiful and easy-to-use journeys that feel premium, utilizing photography and illustration in combination with sophisticated layouts to achieve emotional experiences
  • Validation: Lead mixed-method user research to gather insights, validate design decisions, and ensure we’re building solutions that truly resonate with our members
  • Design versatility: Work across a variety of product areas—including the Member App, Planner App, and mobile—adapting as the roadmap evolves
  • Collaborative solutioning: Collaborate cross-functionally to define product strategy and deliver user-centered solutions.
  • Designing for scale: Design user interfaces using systems and tokens to ensure consistent and intuitive experiences can be built at speed
  • Design reviews: Present design work to stakeholders, clearly articulating design rationale, in various settings, including daily design team reviews, ad hoc reviews with product and engineering, and weekly executive reviews
  • Keep learning: Maintain a commitment to ongoing education for the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices

Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience on an in-house team as a Product Designer
  • Online portfolio required: High-fidelity UI design is a top priority, must also include case studies that show your process, systems thinking, and measurable outcomes
  • Cross-platform design: Must have experience working on both web and mobile applications and maintaining consistency across platforms
  • Exceptional visual craft: Your portfolio must showcase "wow-factor" UI with sophisticated layouts that tell an emotional story—not data-dense table layouts. Bonus points for experience with lifestyle brands
  • AI efficiency: You use AI as a teammate to speed up ideation, functional prototyping, and content design.
  • Research and validation: You’re comfortable running your own usability studies and using product analytics to ensure you aren't just guessing at solutions
  • Engineering & product partnership: You don't design in a vacuum. You’ve worked with engineers and PMs as close teammates and have been in formation with engineering to ensure consistency, feasibility, and speed by aligning with systems and Storybook components

Bonus Points

  • Fintech: Experience in Fintech or adjacent industry
  • Systems: Experience building and maintaining cross-platform design systems using design tokens
  • AI creativity: Demonstrable experience using AI in unexpected and novel ways to solve design challenges

Benefits
  • $150,000 - $200,000 annual salary + bonus determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant - Please note, our salary ranges are based on current market data. Should you feel strongly that we are not in line, we highly recommend you to reach out and let us know. We are always looking to improve on building the best place for employees
  • Equity
  • Flexible PTO
  • All the benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, short and long term disability coverage (paid by Facet), life insurance options and paid parental leave
  • Annual reimbursement allocation for certifications and ongoing education
  • Work from anywhere in the US
