The Product Design Team
Imagine stepping into an industry as old as insurance and redefining how it works from the ground up. That’s what we do at Federato—design software that feels like a secret weapon for underwriters. Our team of designers and researchers tackle intricate, high-stakes problems with a blend of speed and craft. Armed with AI, we’re not just modernizing insurance; we’re making a lasting mark on an industry that directly shapes people’s lives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the design and problem solving for net-new product experiences and feature improvements across our platform
- Partner with your team of seasoned designers to strengthen your solutions, optimize your process, and learn new patterns (e.g. run/build time AI applications, prompt design, etc.)
- Pivot gracefully between high-level thinking and hands-on delivery as conditions evolve, demonstrating flexibility without compromising quality
- Rally around complex user problems by deeply collaborating with product managers, engineers, researchers, and team leads at our in-person workshops
- Get your team excited about your approach by quickly producing and iterating on prototypes and mockups.
- Continuously raise the bar for design and our process, by giving feedback and suggesting strong alternatives
Who We Hope You Are:
- 4+ years of Product Design experience, preferably at fast-paced startups
- At least 1+ years shipping B2B SaaS products
- Experience navigating complex projects end to end, from vision to ship
- Strong knowledge and experience with user-centered design processes
- Expert knowledge of design tools such as Figma or Adobe Creative Suite
- Bonus Points for:
- Experience in FinTech/InsurTech
- Experience building design systems and managing UI pattern libraries
- Ability to travel 6-8 weeks a year
$160,000 - $190,000 a year
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. Total compensation package does include stock options, bonus, benefits and additional perks.
