About Us – Terminal Industries

At Terminal, we believe the logistics yard is the last great untapped frontier in supply chain technology — a space still run on clipboards, radios, and guesswork. Yet these yards move the trucks, trailers, chassis, and containers that power global commerce. Unlocking their data isn’t just a nice-to-have — it’s the key to efficiency, sustainability, and growth across entire supply chains.

That’s why we’re building the world’s first AI-powered Yard Operating System (YOS), a platform that digitizes, automates, and orchestrates everything that happens in the yard. Powered by our Terminal Vision Engine and best-in-class machine learning, we give operators real-time visibility, intelligence, and control to slash dwell times, eliminate phantom costs, and boost throughput.

The result? Safer, smarter, faster yards — and the chance to redefine a trillion-dollar industry from the ground up. Backed by top-tier investors and partnered with leading global logistics companies, we’re not just solving problems — we’re creating the category standard.

Joining Terminal means joining a team that’s rewriting the rules of modern logistics. If you want to make a visible impact on how goods move around the world — and be part of a high-growth company with bold ambitions — this is your chance.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Designer to lead end-to-end user experience design for complex digital products. This role is an individual contributor position—best suited for a designer who thrives in ownership, systems-level thinking, and execution of high-impact design work without direct management responsibilities. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define, design, and deliver intuitive, user-centered experiences that solve real problems for our customers. Your work will directly impact how goods move through the supply chain by reducing friction, increasing visibility, and enabling smarter decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end UX design for Terminal’s logistics platform — from research and discovery to prototyping, testing, and delivery.

  • Translate operational and technical complexity into intuitive, scalable interfaces that enable real-time decision-making and reduce user friction.

  • Conduct and synthesize user research and usability testing with logistics professionals to ground design decisions in real-world workflows.

  • Define and evolve UX patterns, interaction models, and design systems that ensure consistency, accessibility, and scalability across products.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to shape product strategy, balance user needs with business goals, and deliver technically feasible solutions.

  • Communicate design rationale and trade-offs clearly to cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders.

  • Balance long-term UX vision with near-term product milestones, mentoring others and championing the user across all phases of development.

Requirements:

  • Must be based in Austin, TX.

  • 6+ years of product design experience, ideally in SaaS or enterprise applications.

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating experience with complex workflows, data-heavy interfaces, and end-to-end design thinking.

  • Proficiency in modern design tools, with fluency in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.

  • Comfort with conducting user research and synthesizing feedback into design decisions.

  • Ability to balance usability, technical feasibility, and business goals in design solutions.

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to present designs and rationale clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in an early-stage or high-growth startup is a strong plus.

  • Familiarity with logistics, operations, or computer vision technology is a bonus but not required.

What We Offer:

Joining the Terminal team means being part of a dynamic, innovative environment where your work directly impacts the future of logistics and the global supply chain. You will work closely with a team of experts passionate about operational excellence and technological innovation. We offer competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth.
