Overview

Lucra sits at the high-energy intersection of loyalty, competition, and technology. We’ve just closed our Series B and are ready to scale. To do that, we need to move past functional design and start delivering unforgettable experiences.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who will be the guardian of our visual and functional quality. We need someone who doesn't just do the work, but takes personal pride in every pixel. You are the architect of our future product aesthetic and the person who ensures our execution matches our ambition.

What you’ll actually do

  • Own the Craft: You will be our primary design practitioner, defining world-class at Lucra. You’ll produce high-fidelity UI/UX that sets an uncompromising benchmark for quality and polish.

  • Obsess over the Details: You have an innate internal filter for quality. You are the person who catches the nuances that others miss, ensuring every flow is intuitive and every interface is refined.

  • Leverage AI for Efficiency: You aren't afraid of the future. You actively use AI (Figma AI, etc.) to automate repetitive tasks, generate assets, and iterate faster, allowing you to spend more time on high-level creative problem-solving.

  • Bridge the Gap: Partner closely with Engineering and Product to ensure that high-fidelity designs in Figma translate to a high-performance, pixel-perfect reality in production.

  • Strategic Problem Solving: You aren't just taking tickets. You’re sitting at the table, challenging assumptions and helping us decide what we should build, not just how it looks.

Who you are

  • Execution Obsessed: You have a portfolio that stops people in their tracks. You have a killer eye for detail, typography, motion, and micro-interactions.

  • Innate Standards: High quality isn't a learned trait for you—it’s how you operate. You find it physically painful to ship a sub-par user experience and hold yourself to a higher standard than any job description could.

  • Pragmatic & Scrappy: You know when to spend a week perfecting a flow and when to ship a good enough version to get data. At our size, speed is a feature, but it’s never an excuse for sloppiness.

  • Low Ego, High Ambition: You care more about the best idea winning than your idea winning.

Requirements

  • Experience: 6+ years in product design, specifically building high-growth, high-transaction consumer apps. Background in fintech, gaming, or loyalty platforms is a major plus.

  • Communication: Ability to articulate the logic behind design decisions to non-designers and build strong, ego-free partnerships with Product and Engineering.

  • Technical Mastery: Elite high-fidelity execution in Figma. You are a master of visual craft, interaction design, and building scalable design systems from scratch.

  • Modern Workflow: Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to gain efficiencies and create faster than ever without sacrificing the "soul" or quality of the design.

  • Availability: Primary residence in one of the following states, in which Lucra is fully operational: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming, Washington DC.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Native Mobile Expertise: Deep experience with iOS/Android design patterns and an obsession with haptics and motion.

  • The High-Performance Factor: You have a track record of taking products from functional to industry-leading through pure design excellence.

Why Lucra?

We are building a new category. We’re small enough that your fingerprints will be on everything we do, but backed by enough capital to execute on the big swings. If you’re ready to own the visual soul of a company and never settle for mediocrity, let’s talk.
