The Role

Micromedex is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead our API and integration platform, including emerging capabilities that support AI agents and MCP (Model Context Protocol)-based interactions.

This role sits at the intersection of platform, data, and AI. You will define how our capabilities are exposed as scalable services and agent-consumable interfaces, enabling seamless integration into customer workflows, partner systems, and next-generation applications.

How you will contribute

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product strategy for APIs, MCP endpoints, and integration capabilities

  • Evolve legacy systems into scalable, composable services that support both application and agent-based consumption

  • Partner with engineering to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance interfaces

  • Establish clear approaches for API and platform productization (packaging, pricing, versioning, SLAs)

  • Design repeatable integration patterns to accelerate partner adoption and reduce custom work

  • Shape how platform capabilities are exposed for AI-driven workflows and agent-based interactions

  • Improve developer experience (documentation, onboarding, tooling) to drive adoption and usage

  • Define and track success metrics across adoption, performance, and revenue impact

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of product management experience, with strong ownership of APIs, platforms, or integrations

  • Experience building and scaling external-facing or developer-focused products

  • Strong understanding of API design, service architectures, and integration patterns

  • Familiarity with modern authentication and security models (OAuth, token-based access)

  • Exposure to AI/ML, LLMs, or agent-based systems — or strong ability to ramp quickly

  • Ability to operate at both technical depth and business strategy levels

What Sets You Apart

  • You think beyond endpoints — you think in capabilities and systems

  • You can decompose complex workflows into reusable, callable units

  • You understand that the future is not just UI-driven — it’s agent-driven

  • You are equally comfortable discussing:

  • API schemas

  • Business models

  • AI workflows

Nice to Have

  • Experience with MCP or similar emerging interaction models

  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, fintech)

  • Experience with platform monetization or usage-based pricing

Why This Role Matters

We are evolving our platform to support not only applications, but also AI-driven systems that can discover, retrieve, and act on our capabilities.

This role will define how our products are:

  • Integrated into critical workflows

  • Extended through partners and developers

  • Leveraged by emerging AI and agent-based technologies

What We Offer

A team united by purpose – Micromedex offers a unique opportunity to be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving medication safety and clinical decision-making.

A culture built on collaboration and impact – Work alongside smart, motivated teammates who care deeply about improving healthcare through technology.

A place to grow your career – Build skills that evolve with you—whether you're leading strategic initiatives or helping clients adopt evidence-based solutions.

A total rewards package that reflects our values – Competitive compensation, annual bonuses, paid time off, remote flexibility, and comprehensive benefits.

If you’re inspired by the opportunity to improve medication safety and empower evidence-based clinical decisions, Micromedex is the place to do it. Join us and be part of a team that’s redefining what’s possible in healthcare decision support.
