We’re on a mission to transform how companies use data. Come be a part of our journey!

As a Senior Product Manager on the Cloud team at ClickHouse, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of Cloud-focused features for our flagship offering.  Potential areas of focus include the ClickHouse Cloud query experience, data visualization, and Cloud-native enhancements to the core product.

You will work closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure that each feature contributes to an intuitive, cohesive product experience, and is built to meet the needs of our customers. You will also collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to ensure that the product is effectively positioned and promoted in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Feature Ideation, Definition, and Development

  • You will be, at a minimum, responsible for defining and driving development of existing initiatives comprising the product roadmap for ClickHouse Cloud.
  • You will also be responsible for ensuring that these initiatives are delivered such that they align with our company goals and meet customer needs.
  • Prioritization is key. You will conduct market research and gather customer feedback to inform priorities, and help manage the product backlog to ensure that the most valuable features and enhancements are prioritized and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Feel strongly about a feature that hasn’t yet been considered?  No problem. This role benefits from high degrees of both autonomy and impact—you will be empowered to ideate and propose net-new initiatives, thereby contributing directly to our overall product strategy and direction.

Cross-functional Leadership and Collaboration

  • Every project requires collaboration between various teams at ClickHouse and you are the glue that holds them together. You will be responsible for coordinating with partners on the design, engineering, and security teams to ensure that they are aligned on scope and timeline for each project.  You will also be principally in-charge of identifying, communicating, and resolving cross-team blockers and dependencies.
  • You will be, at a minimum, the internal ‘face’ of your projects.
    • Pre-shipment, you will deliver periodic status updates to our leadership team and the broader company. You will also collaborate with our marketing and sales teams to develop and execute on feature launch strategy (documentation, positioning, messaging, pricing). Finally, you will conduct pre-launch enablement sessions for our sales and support teams, such that they are equipped to convey this information to our customers.
    • Post-shipment, you will maintain internal and external documentation and help our sales and support teams address customer questions, concerns, and feedback.

Performance Monitoring and Incremental Improvement

  • You will define, track, and own key performance indicators (KPIs) for your projects and regularly report on progress to stakeholders.
  • We ship incremental improvements across our product surface area every single week.  You will obsessively monitor and analyze product usage and performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Relatedly, a crucial underpinning of any successful product is polish—nobody likes papercuts.  You will dog-food our product on a daily basis and suggest incremental improvements that reduce jagged edges and contribute to a polished product experience.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of cloud software engineering or related technical experience
  • Experience working with SQL databases and data analytics (prior experience with ClickHouse preferred but not required)
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality products to market.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform product decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve goals.
