At Serve Robotics, we’re reimagining how things move in cities. Our personable sidewalk robot is our vision for the future. It’s designed to take deliveries away from congested streets, make deliveries available to more people, and benefit local businesses.

The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago while doing commercial deliveries. We’re looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.

The Senior Hardware Product Manager is the key owner and champion for evolving our robotic fleet. This role drives both updates to current products and the development of new or enhanced features for existing and future robots, specifically aiming to make them faster, safer, and more capable.

The position is critical to achieving core business objectives, including accelerating delivery growth, lowering overhead, achieving operational excellence, and expanding through diversified revenue streams.

This manager will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, notably Hardware, Software, Delivery Platform, Design, Embedded Software, Program Management, Policy, Expansion, and Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • Align Priorities to Product Vision and Strategies – Set the direction for target hardware feature capabilities, enhancements and partner integrations to improve service efficiency, scalability and experience.

  • Partner with engineering to ensure implementation excellence - Work closely with engineering teams to make trade offs between time to market, scalability, and safeguard against likely gotchas. Craft actionable requirements that capture business opportunities and operational pain points. Deep dive into our hardware design and architecture to support engineering and write user acceptance criteria that accelerate QA for any new or refined feature.

  • Facilitate data gathering for key issues priority and focus, tracking back to OKRs and KPIs

  • Measure success: Define key performance metrics, analyze production performance, and be the go-to for the performance of the target hardware features such as tracking, motorization and locomotion, robot regulation support features, merchant and customer experience intersection features and other key systems.

  • Ensure Compliance & Scalability – Collaborate with legal, security, and compliance teams to meet industry standards and scale integrations.

  • Act as the primary technical POC: Serve as the key interface between Serve Robotics and partner technical teams, providing guidance on what is feasible and ensuring successful integration and alignment with product goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or another equivalent engineering discipline

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of shipping HW features or features at the intersection of HW and SW or products and experience optimizing post-launch.

  • Experience working with multiple partners, resolving conflicting requirements and priorities and negotiating for solutions that lead to a successful partnership

  • Demonstrated ability to lead external partner integrations with a strong technical focus.

  • Excellent product judgment, with the ability to balance customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience managing relationships across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, firmware and SW interface work, systems integration, testing and QA.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • MBA or equivalent degree

  • Embedded SW product experience is preferred (mainly for telops related cross over work or for embedded team to HW and SW interfaces).

  • Detailed requirements management methodologies and use of various tools to manage, such as confluence, notion, excel or G sheets.

  • Working knowledge of robotics, hardware PM, owned and shipped ground breaking products in your career so far.

  • Knowledge of AI based tools for data gathering and tracking.

Additional Requirement

  • Expected frequent travel to the Bay Area.


*Please note: The listed base salary range applies to candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Compensation may vary depending on location, experience, and role alignment. We are open to qualified candidates working remotely within the United States.

  • USA - ALL: $85,000 - $150,000 USD
