The Foundations team within Akamai's Cloud Technology product management organization oversees the core services and experiences that power the cloud platform. By centralizing foundational capabilities, the team enables secure, scalable, and consistent interactions across the platform while driving trust and supporting future cloud growth.

As a Senior Product Manager,you will define and drive strategy for core platform capabilities, ensuring a seamless, secure, and scalable experience for both developers and enterprise customers.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and defining the complete identity and account management strategy, including user requirements, feature prioritization, roadmap, launch, and adoption.
  • Optimizing secure, seamless account creation entry points, enhancing conversion, minimizing onboarding friction, and expediting access to initial resources collaboratively.
  • Leading the evolution of core IAM capabilities including SSO, MFA and password less authentication, fine-grained authorization and service/workload identity.
  • Developing comprehensive business analysis and financial models to support business cases and long-term product planning.
  • Becoming the trusted expert in industry trends and market landscape relevant to direct and related markets for assigned product lines.
  • Ensuring collaboration among engineering, architecture, operations, and supply chain teams to achieve timely and scalable product delivery.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 12 years of experience with product management, product development with cloud, platform, or security domains experience or it's equivalent.
  • Demonstrate expertise in IAM concepts (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect), advanced authorization systems (RBAC/ABAC), and multi-tenant cloud architectures.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders
  • Have familiarity with enterprise identity ecosystems, compliance frameworks, and modern security principles.
  • Demonstrate ability to understand, define, and communicate the value of highly technical cloud products.
  • Possess deep relationship-building skills and experience collaborating with technology partners.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $139,300 - $250,700/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
