At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $164,700 - $215,025
Zone B: $148,500 - $193,875
Zone C: $136,800 - $178,600
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

To succeed in this Senior Product Manager role for Search Relevance, you should bring a robust combination of technical depth, strategic thinking, and hands-on expertise in enterprise search systems. Key qualifications include:
- 8+ years of product management experience, with substantial recent experience in Enterprise Search focusing on relevance and quality.
- Proven proficiency in relevance and quality measurement metrics such as nDCG, MRR, and related analytics.
- Deep user empathy and commitment to delivering exceptional search experiences, with attention to detail that drives continuous improvement.
- Strong technical subject matter expertise, with a comprehensive understanding of search technologies, natural language processing, and machine learning principles.
- Data-driven decision-making skills, including the ability to independently analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and demonstrate the customer impact of improvements.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executives.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive cross-functional initiatives without direct authority, maintaining alignment across diverse teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field preferred.
