The summary above was generated by AI

We’re not just building better tech. We’re rewriting how data moves and what the world can do with it. With Confluent, data doesn’t sit still. Our platform puts information in motion, streaming in near real-time so companies can react faster, build smarter, and deliver experiences as dynamic as the world around them.

It takes a certain kind of person to join this team. Those who ask hard questions, give honest feedback, and show up for each other. No egos, no solo acts. Just smart, curious humans pushing toward something bigger, together.

One Confluent. One Team. One Data Streaming Platform.

About the Role:

Confluent runs and supports many of the largest data streaming deployments in the world on behalf of our customers. Our user interfaces are used to manage these mission-critical and extremely complicated deployments with ease and at scale. Customers need to be able to discover, monitor and create resources quickly and realize the value that Confluent can deliver to their use-cases. This role will focus on the re-usable shared experiences that drive user engagement and directly impact conversion to revenue. This includes notifications, search, navigation and many others! In addition, this role is expected to seize the opportunity to take our UI to new heights with various AI agent/chatbot experiences.

What You Will Do:
  • Set the strategy: Align UI investments with Confluent’s long term vision to put a data streaming platform at the center of every organization.

  • Define the roadmap: Plot a course with your engineering counterparts that will realize the strategy.

  • Understand our users: Conduct interviews and analyze usage data to define personas, user journeys, and key jobs to be done.

  • Work across teams: Create shared understanding and direction across engineering, product, business development, support, sales, and marketing teams within Confluent and externally with our partners.

  • Be responsible for the whole lifecycle: Drive multi-company, cross-functional initiatives from conception through initial delivery, and ongoing iteration after launch.

  • Close the loop: Define quantitative and qualitative targets, measure performance against them, share results with stakeholders, and incorporate those learnings into the next development cycle.

  • Manage complexity: Deliver value while handling the surprises and challenges of a quickly evolving product, ambitious partnership targets, and a rapidly growing organization.

What You Will Bring:
  • 5+ years of product management experience

  • Experience building and supporting user experience features for enterprise cloud products

  • LLM or GenAI knowledge is a bonus, but not required

  • Experience building, writing and defending a clear product roadmap and backlog backed by user stories and customer research.

  • Excellent communication skills and experience working in a collaborative and consensus-driven environment

  • Ability to build relationships with co-workers and customers located around the world.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive business outcomes through product changes

  • Multi-cloud or hybrid experience is a plus
