The Role

As a Senior Product Manager, you will own the end-to-end development of a product area, shaping the roadmap to align with Step’s broader business goals. You’ll use data-driven insights to define priorities, work cross-functionally to execute product strategies, and collaborate with external partners. Over time, you will build and lead a team of product managers.

What You’ll Do

  • Define & Drive Strategy – Partner with leadership to refine Step’s vision and strategy for your product area, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Prioritize with Data – Leverage analytics, user insights, and industry trends to identify high-impact features, optimizations, and experiments.
  • Execute with Excellence – Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, data science, legal, compliance, and external partners to build, launch, and scale products.
  • Optimize & Iterate – Monitor key product metrics, measure impact, and iterate based on learnings to continuously enhance the customer experience.
  • Lead & Grow a Team – Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of product managers as our product suite expands.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of product management experience, preferably in consumer fintech.
  • track record of scaling consumer fintech products, from ideation to launch and growth.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using SQL, Looker, Mixpanel, or similar analytics tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders.
  • Deep customer empathy and a passion for building products that deliver real value.
  • A proactive, outcome-oriented mindset with a bias for action.
  • Bonus: background in software engineering or data analytics.
