About the Role

Planful is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to shape how the market understands our products and how our field sells them. This individual will join a two-person product marketing team with a wide surface area across the core platform, Planful AI, and Consolidation Premium, owning analyst relations, the competitive program, launch execution, and field enablement. This person will also partner closely on messaging, positioning, and launch narrative.

You are a strong writer and a sharp cross-functional operator, comfortable owning outcomes rather than slices of them, and energized by a small team where the work is broad and the ownership is real.

Responsibilities

  • Support the cross-functional side of product launches across the Planful platform, including timelines, dependencies, launch readiness, and the internal communication that keeps product, sales, CS, support, and solutions consulting aligned.
  • Build the launch model once and run it every time, so each launch is more efficient than the one before it.
  • Build and deliver enablement for new product launches, including training materials and internal assets.
  • Own analyst relationships end-to-end, including the briefing and inquiry calendar.
  • Run Magic Quadrant and similar evaluation submissions from evidence gathering through final response, and bring analyst findings back into positioning and roadmap conversations.
  • Own the competitive intelligence program across the FP&A and CPM landscape, building automated monitoring so the team spends its time on synthesis rather than collection.
  • Turn competitive insights into internal enablement materials and assets.
  • Extend enablement to the partner channel, and partner with the solutions consulting team where subject matter depth is needed.
  • Own the marketing side of pricing execution, including consumption-based models, SKU setup, Deal Desk partnership, and field enablement on pricing.
  • Work directly with product teams on launch sequencing, helping translate complex products into language sellers can use.
  • Support messaging, positioning, launch narrative, and external speaking.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 4+ years of experience in B2B software product marketing, including running launches end to end.
  • Experience on a team small enough that you owned the outcome rather than a slice of it.
  • Track record with analyst relations, including formal evaluation submissions.
  • Experience with pricing and packaging mechanics, or a strong appetite to learn.
  • Strong cross-functional project management skills, with the discipline to hold a launch together when the work gets deep.
  • A track record of building enablement the field actually uses.
  • Comfort working directly with product and engineering on technical products.
  • Strong writing, with the judgment to know when something is not good enough yet.
  • Comfort operating without perfect inputs or heavy process.
  • Background in finance, FP&A, or accounting, or experience marketing to finance buyers, preferred.
  • Willingness to present externally through webinars, customer sessions, and events, preferred.
