As a Senior Product Sales Manager, Research & Analytics you’ll partner closely with our Academic Field Sales team to drive growth across the US Market, selling best‑in‑class solutions within our Research & Analytics portfolio. You’ll play a critical role in bringing products like Web of Science, Web of Science Research Intelligence (our newest go‑to‑market platform), InCites, Pivot‑RP, and more to universities—helping institutions advance research, teaching, and assessment initiatives.

This is a highly collaborative, growth‑focused role where you’ll own product‑led sales strategy, build a strong pipeline, increase deal sizes, and drive cross‑sell expansion within existing Academic customers—while also supporting selective new logo acquisition. Reporting to the Director of Research & Analytics Sales, Americas, you’ll work alongside Account Managers and key commercial partners to execute impactful sales strategies and deliver meaningful results.

About you – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in research platform solutions, API’s or other integration, custom data sets, reports, or a combination of these alongside consultancy services to Academic clients

  • Prior experience with academic bids and tenders

What will you be doing in this role?...

  • Achieve sales targets for assigned products and territories, ensuring alignment with Clarivate’s overall business objectives
  • Identify and support new business opportunities both independently and in collaboration with Account Managers, driving growth and expanding market presence
  • Leverage product expertise to design and present value-added solutions, aiming to enhance deal value and address customer needs effectively
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline in collaboration with Account Managers, aiming to enhance deal size and speed up sales cycles through effective sales and negotiation strategies
  • Establish and nurture strong customer relationships through regular communication, exceptional service, and proactive problem-solving to ensure ongoing customer loyalty and satisfaction
  • Collaborate closely with Account Managers and other commercial teams to contribute to product sales planning and execute sales strategies that maximize Clarivate's footprint
  • Build and present reports outlining current and proposed activities, customer interactions, pipeline status, accurate sales forecasts, and closing timelines
  • Consult with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective sales campaigns and new business activities
  • Continuously acquire and develop relevant market, industry, and product knowledge to enhance commercial effectiveness and support sales success

You’ll be joining a highly focused, impact‑driven Academia & Government Product Sales team dedicated to helping universities unlock the full power of research intelligence. This team partners closely with Academic Sales to bring trusted, world‑class research and analytics solutions to institutions that are shaping the future of education and discovery.

Reporting to the Director, Research & Analytics Product Sales for Academic Markets, you’ll be part of a tight‑knit, seven‑member team that values collaboration, curiosity, and shared success. The work is strategic, fast‑moving, and deeply connected to our customers’ missions—making this a standout opportunity to influence growth while supporting the academic community in meaningful ways.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed

This is a remote position with travel up to 50% within the United States. High travel January – May and then again Mid-September through November

Compensations

The expected base salary for this position is $110,000 - $138,000 USD per year.  This role is eligible for (incentive or bonus) earnings.  Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors.
