The Senior Project Accountant is responsible for managing a high volume of invoicing while working in conjunction with Project Accountants, Finance Leaders and Project Managers to ensure projects are set up appropriately and all invoices sent to the client are accurate and correct.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Proficiency in contract administration, additional services management & collections resolution as it relates to our consulting partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Mentor and support Project Accountants to ensure accuracy of input of project set up in Deltek Vantagepoint
- Mentor and support Project Accountants with contract review to ensure project setup and invoicing conform to contract terms
- Issue a high volume and high complexity of invoices while working in conjunction with Project Managers to ensure all invoices sent to the client are correct and appropriate
- Proactively manage unbilled time and expenses to ensure all aging balances are addressed by the Project Manager
- Submit all invoices to the clients
- Assist Project Managers with accounts receivable tracking and collection efforts
- Support onboarding of Project Managers
- Notarize documents
- Assist with Project Review Meetings as needed
- Point of escalation for billing & project challenges and inquiries from internal team, clients, and vendors
- General accounting and audit support as needed
Education / Experience:
- High school diploma required
- Bachelors’ degree in Accounting is preferred
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a high-volume billing department, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual is required to have proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Deltek Vantagepoint.
National salary range (4+ years experience): $28-$40/hour (regional cost of living factors, certification, etc. are considered into the hiring process). Additional compensation includes bonuses and benefits. Bonuses can include but are not limited to: Long Term Incentive Plan, Short Term Incentive Plan, Profit Sharing.
