Senior Project Logistics Coordinator

The Senior Project Logistics Coordinator will coordinate multi-modal transportation, maintain shipment data, manage logistics processes, and ensure compliance across domestic and international movements while fostering relationships with vendors and customers.
What You Can Expect:
- Coordinate end-to-end, multi-modal transportation for a wide range of cargo, including hazardous materials, general freight, and oversized shipments, across export, import, and domestic movements.
- Monitor shipments closely to ensure on-time complete delivery, maintaining proactive communication and follow-up throughout the transportation lifecycle.
- Enter and maintain accurate shipment data within internal systems, ensuring timely updates and strong data integrity.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to support seamless execution of project logistics operations.
- Identify, assess, and onboard service-oriented vendors that align with operational requirements and company values, contributing to a reliable and scalable partner network.
- Recognize shipments or transactions requiring special handling and recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Negotiate freight rates and service terms with ocean carriers, air carriers, trucking providers, and warehousing partners to secure competitive and dependable solutions.
- Manage logistics processes across the full supply chain, including order coordination, inventory movement, customs brokerage support, shipment tracking, and cost control.
- Anticipate and resolve operational challenges, supporting the team with practical solutions and a problem-solving mindset.
- Review shipping documentation for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance and smooth cargo movement.
What You Bring:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on operational experience in freight forwarding within United States.
- Strong working knowledge of import and export operations, including shipment documentation, bills of lading, delivery orders, and customs clearance processes.
- Prior exposure to project cargo, out-of-gauge, or specialized transportation is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural and international environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing responsibilities independently while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and accountability.
- Collaborative team player who actively supports colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service.
- Solid numerical aptitude, including the ability to calculate freight measurements and perform metric and imperial unit conversions.
- Strong understanding of international trade principles, including practical application of Incoterms.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet firm deadlines in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Flexibility to support operations across multiple time zones as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Experience with logistics, forwarding, or shipment tracking systems is considered an asset.
- Willingness to work additional hours as required to support operational demands.
