Senior Project Manager – Electronic Tolling & Back Office Systems

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale, complex Electronic Tolling and Back Office projects—owning the full lifecycle from design and build through to successful delivery and optimization.

This is not a traditional project management role. You will operate as the end-to-end owner of high-impact programs, with full accountability across technical, financial, and commercial dimensions. You’ll work at the intersection of hardware, software, and infrastructure, driving projects that are critical to how cities and countries move.

You’ll join a group that actively challenges legacy thinking, embraces new ideas, and pushes for smarter, more modern ways of delivering complex infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Own

End-to-End Project Leadership

  • Take full ownership of large, complex programs—from design & build through execution and delivery

  • Translate strategic objectives into executable plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and client expectations

  • Drive delivery with a strong focus on outcomes, business value, and long-term impact

  • Direct cross-functional, often global teams across engineering, software, and operations and

  • Mentor and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment

Stakeholder & Client Partnership

  • Serve as the trusted advisor and primary interface for clients, partners, and senior internal stakeholders

  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments, aligning technical, commercial, and operational priorities

  • Influence decision-making at senior levels, both internally and externally

Commercial & Contract Ownership

  • Own contract execution, including proactive claim and change management

  • Ensure financial performance through strong budget ownership, forecasting, and cost control

  • Identify risks and opportunities early, driving mitigation strategies and value creation and manage delivery risks in complex, multi-layered environments

  • Bring structure where needed—but also challenge processes to improve efficiency and outcomes

Visibility & Strategic Reporting

  • Provide clear, executive-level reporting on progress, risks, and financials

  • Act as the single point of accountability for project performance

What Makes This Role Different

  • True ownership: You are not coordinating—you are leading, deciding, and delivering

  • Breadth of scope: Technical, financial, contractual, and stakeholder management all sit within your remit

  • Hands-on impact: Close to the detail when needed, without losing strategic oversight

  • Challenging the status quo: Be part of a team actively modernizing how tolling projects are delivered

  • Global exposure: Work on high-visibility programs that shape mobility infrastructure worldwide

Your Background

  • Experience:

  • 8+ years leading and delivering large, complex  tolling and/or back office systems from design & build to completion

  • Experience in P3 projects or working with agencies is a strong plus

  • Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Project Management, or similar

  • PMP, IPMA, or equivalent (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

  • Capabilities:

  • Strong leadership with the ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Solid understanding of IT systems, software engineering, hardware and telecommunications

  • Experience with tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence

  • Agile mindset and adaptability in complex environments

  • Strong commercial acumen, problem-solving, and decision-making ability

What You’ll Get

  • The opportunity to lead high-impact, large-scale programs with real-world visibility

  • A role with high autonomy, ownership, and strategic influence

  • A team that values innovation, new ideas, and continuous improvement

  • A dynamic, international environment within a global, well-established technology company

  • Career growth, stability, and ongoing professional development

  • Competitive compensation with salary range of $130,000-$170,000 with full benefits package including a no-cost medical insurance option. Total compensation based on qualifications, abilities and location.

  • Flexible working model (remote/hybrid) with offices in Austin, Secaucus, and Duluth, GA

At this time we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role and all applicants must be located and have working rights in the US and pass a background check.
