Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to join our EPMO. In this role, you will lead complex, cross-functional projects through a flexible framework that incorporates both Scrum and Waterfall methodologies. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to stakeholders' satisfaction. You will also drive continuous improvement within the EPMO by refining processes that enhance project outcomes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery of major IT systems or business process initiatives that impact long-term operations.
  • Complex Initiative Management: Oversee a mix of high-priority, multi-phased projects that span various technologies and involve diverse business teams.
  • Team Motivation: Provide leadership to project teams by fostering an environment that encourages collaboration and accountability, ensuring that goals, responsibilities, and milestones are met.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment between technology, operations, and business needs.
  • Risk and Issue Resolution: Proactively manage risks, conflicts, and dependencies to keep projects on track, resolving issues and ensuring timely delivery of critical path milestones.
  • Status Reporting: Prepare and present project status reports, focusing on milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues tailored to the needs of your audience.
  • Business and System Requirement Documentation: Lead requirement elaboration sessions and facilitate discussions to translate business needs into detailed system requirements when necessary.
  • Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with organizational policies, processes, and legal guidelines.
     

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) required.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 8+ years of project management experience, specifically managing complex, multi-phased projects.
  • Proven expertise in PMO governance, product roadmap processes, and LEAN methodologies.
  • Strong experience managing waterfall projects using a formal project framework.
  • Hands-on experience managing change requests through formal project change management processes.
  • Working knowledge of IT change management processes.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate and resolve complex challenges.
  • Proficiency with project portfolio management tools such as:
    • CA Clarity PPM
    • KeyedIn
    • JIRA
  • Experience using tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, Visio, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to present to project sponsors and interact with both technical and non-technical staff at all levels of management.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize and resolve business problems effectively.
