Acutronic is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for technical, schedule, and cost performance of complex projects in accordance with contract requirements. The Senior Project Manager drives project teams to successfully meet these objectives by managing the technical direction of projects through the entire project lifecycle. The Senior Project Manager will report performance both internally and externally and is responsible for setting and managing customer expectations. Senior Project Manager

Your Roles/Responsibilities:
  • Independently develops cost and schedule estimate, along with risk and opportunities, for bid and proposal opportunities.
  • Ensures customer requirements and specifications are appropriately captured, communicated, and achieved throughout the lifecycle of the contract
  • Generates Integrated Master Schedules and tracks project status throughout project lifecycles
  • Develops risk and opportunities registers for projects throughout execution, including cost, schedule, and technical.  Manages emergent issues including the development of mitigation and contingency plans
  • Partners with resource managers to assign resources and allocate/resolve resource conflicts to projects in accordance with key delivery dates
  • Minimizes project scope growth through strong change control practices to include the development of change proposals to customers
  • Calculates Estimate at Completion/Estimate to Completion for projects and develops mitigation plans to address any resulting cost or schedule growth
  • Performs complex variance analysis for actual results to the Forecast and Annual Operating Plan 
  • Responsible for the Earned Value Management Systems on all identified contracts to include generation of key cost and schedule performance indices and Contract Performance Reports
  • Negotiates updates to the project plan for all changes related to cost and schedule
  • Documents and formally disseminates lessons learned after the completion of projects to all stakeholders
  • Manages the integration of key supplier tasks to the overall Integrated Master Schedule to ensure changes in supplier deliverable dates do not impact key project deliverable dates
  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of complex projects and serves as liaison between project management, operations, project team, senior leadership, and the customer
  • Viewed as Subject Matter Expert within the organization and provides guidance to complex project management topics to others in the organization
Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field of study from an accredited college or university required
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field of study from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Minimum of seven years relevant experience, 10 years preferred 
  • Aerospace/defense Industry experience preferred
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered
