GuideStone is seeking a talented Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our mission-driven, faith-based organization. As a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer at GuideStone, you will design, develop, test, and maintain automation frameworks to support our applications and product offerings. You will drive best practices and develop test workflows to ensure high-quality delivery within an agile environment, infusing automated tests throughout the system development life cycle. Collaboration with development staff, IT Operations personnel, BAs/UX designers, and Product Managers is essential for releasing reliable applications efficiently.

We seek candidates with experience in automation platforms like Playwright (highly preferred), Selenium, or Puppeteer. Proficiency in C# and JavaScript, along with experience in API testing and Power Automate, is essential. Leadership experience or the potential and desire to grow into a leadership role is crucial. Experience in financial services is a plus but not required.
 

This is a hybrid position requiring two days per week in our offices located across from Galleria Mall in North Dallas. All applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States, as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time. What You'll Do
  • Drive Automation Strategy: Implement test automation within a continuous integration and development environment.

  • Code Flow Assessment: Analyze code interactions with various processes.

  • Process Documentation: Document workflows and processes for improvement.

  • Test Plan Development: Create and execute plans for automated and manual functional testing, including integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.

  • Automated Test Suites: Design and develop automated test suites for high quality and coverage.

  • Bug Management: Detect, report, and track bugs, ensuring fixes by the development team.

  • Manual Regression Testing: Perform manual regression testing as needed.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of test failures, defects, and performance issues.

  • Metrics and Reporting: Develop metrics-based reporting and KPIs to analyze software quality.

  • Industry Standards: Stay current with test automation methodologies and tools.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend automation areas to enhance the test process.

  • Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor IT staff and business partners on testing best practices.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

  • 7+ years of experience in software application testing with automated test scripts.

  • 5+ years in web application automation using Selenium or Playwright with C#.

  • Experience designing test automation frameworks for JavaScript and .NET code.

  • Proficiency with ASP.net Web Forms, MVC, SSIS, SSAS, SQL.

  • Experience in a collaborative agile environment with continuous integration and test-driven development.

  • Knowledge of load/performance testing (JMeter/BlazeMeter), API testing, and cross-browser/device testing.

  • Thorough understanding of Agile-based SCRUM methodology.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in Financial Services and cross-functional teams is a plus.
