About us:

Syndica supplies the most critical applications in Web3 with enterprise-grade RPC infrastructure and developer tools tailored for the Solana ecosystem. Joining our team means you'll be held to a high standard, technically challenged, and grow close to a group of individuals passionate about building new infrastructure technologies.

We are backed by strategic partners, investors, and advisors who are all-in on our mission: Chamath Palihapitiya of Social Capital, Steve Jang of Kindred Ventures, Joe McCann of Asymmetric, Jump Crypto, Coinbase Ventures, Solana Ventures, Circle Ventures, and many more.

About you:

You're a seasoned mobile engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and loves crafting exceptional user experiences.

  • 5+ years of mobile development experience with production apps at scale, ideally with a strong iOS focus.

  • Deep experience with React Native, and proficiency with the nuances of native iOS development.

  • Built or maintained apps in production with a high volume of users.

  • A passion for beautiful, responsive, and intuitive UI/UX, with an eye for smooth interactions and fast load times.

  • Solid understanding of mobile architecture, component design, and performance optimization.

  • Experience managing data flow, asynchronous logic, and API integrations (e.g., REST, GraphQL, caching).

  • A track record of shipping quickly while maintaining a high bar for code quality and product polish.

  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working across engineering, design, and product.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Standout Experience:

  • Experience building offline-first features or persistent app state with tools like AsyncStorage or SQLite.

  • Worked at developer-tooling companies or mobile-first teams (e.g., Stripe, Coinbase, Robinhood).

  • Experience with Web3 integrations (e.g., Solana wallets, secure transactions, or dApp connectivity).

  • Led large mobile initiatives, greenfield app builds, or major performance refactors.

About the role:

As a Senior React Native Engineer, you'll play a key role in building and scaling mobile experiences that enable developers and users to interact with Web3 infrastructure effortlessly. You’ll be responsible for shipping high-quality, high-performance apps—with special attention to startup time, interaction smoothness, and codebase maintainability.

You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team to define, build, and refine features that are fast, intuitive, and robust.

Key responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and implement fast, scalable, and reliable mobile features in React Native.

  • Work closely with design to create pixel-perfect, platform-consistent interfaces.

  • Lead performance optimization efforts, including rendering performance, app startup, and interaction latency.

  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code that scales with our user base.

  • Integrate APIs and manage data across app screens, including caching, loading states, and error handling.

  • Debug and fix production issues, track metrics, and help improve the overall reliability of the mobile app.

  • Contribute to mobile architecture, development standards, and tooling decisions.

  • Document decisions, patterns, and systems for internal and external audiences.

What does success in this role look like?

  • In three months, you've become a core contributor, leading critical features with a focus on UX and speed. You're familiar with the codebase, shipping confidently, and offering thoughtful input in architecture discussions.

  • In six months, you're driving core mobile projects from idea to execution, improving app speed, polish, and reliability. You’re mentoring others and actively raising the quality bar.

  • In twelve months, you're shaping the long-term direction of the mobile platform, championing scalable architecture, and improving app performance at scale.
