Sana’s vision is simple yet bold: make healthcare easy.
We all know navigating healthcare in the U.S. is confusing, costly, and frustrating -- and our members are used to feeling that pain. That’s why we’re building something different: affordable health plans designed around Sana Care, our integrated care model connecting members with unlimited primary care and expert care navigation at no additional cost to them.
Whether it’s a quick prescription refill or guidance through a complex medical journey, Sana Care makes it feel effortless to get the right care at the right time. And for employers and brokers, we’ve built intuitive tools to make managing health benefits just as seamless.
We’re seeking a Senior Recruiter to own our talent acquisition function as the sole TA professional. This person will need to hit the ground running, manage a busy slate of open roles, and build trusted partnerships across teams and departments. The role calls for someone who can operate independently, make sound hiring recommendations with minimal oversight, and drive momentum while maintaining a high-quality bar.
This is not a purely transactional recruiting role. We’re looking for a strategic partner who can manage senior and specialized searches, build pipelines in hard-to-fill areas, and adapt to evolving hiring needs in a growing company. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable sourcing niche talent and advising executives on hiring strategy, with a focus on autonomy, judgment, and meaningful impact.
If you love solving hard problems that make people’s lives easier, come build with us.
What you will do:
- Recruit across all departments and seniority levels, from operational roles to executive placements
- Serve as primary talent partner to department heads across Product, Engineering, Clinical, Actuarial, GTM, Operations, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership
- Maintain <60 day average time-to-hire while upholding quality standards
- Partner with hiring managers on strategy, candidate evaluation, and market insights
- Provide market intelligence on talent availability, compensation trends, and competitive landscape
- Own vendor relationships: LinkedIn Recruiter, Lever ATS, recruitment agency partnerships
- Influence hiring strategy and workforce planning alongside People and Finance teams
- Continuously optimize recruiting processes and candidate experience
- Track and report on key recruiting metrics: time-to-hire, time-to-fill, source of hire, pipeline health, offer acceptance rates, and conversion metrics
- Provide regular reporting to leadership on recruiting performance and trends
About you:
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting, preferably in high-growth startups
- You move fast without sacrificing quality, allowing speed and rigor coexist
- You have strong pattern recognition for culture fit and mission-driven candidates
- Proven success managing 5+ concurrent requisitions as solo or small-team recruiter
- Experience recruiting across multiple functions and levels, including senior/executive hires
- Strong stakeholder management with track record of trusted advisor relationships
- Proficiency with ATS platforms (Lever preferred) and LinkedIn Recruiter
- Experience tracking recruiting metrics and using data to inform decision-making
Benefits:
- Remote company with a fully distributed team – no return-to-office mandates
- Flexible vacation policy (and a culture of using it)
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance with 100% company-paid employee coverage
- 401(k), FSA, and HSA plans
- Paid parental leave
- Short and long-term disability, as well as life insurance
- Competitive stock options are offered to all employees
- Transparent compensation & formal career development programs
- Paid one-month sabbatical after 5 years
- Stipends for setting up your home office and an ongoing learning budget
- Direct positive impact on members’ lives – wait until you see the positive feedback members share every day
About Sana:
Founded in 2017, Sana is a health plan solution built for small and midsize businesses — designed around our integrated primary care service, Sana Care. It’s the foundation of everything we build: ensuring members can easily access high-quality, affordable care while employers and brokers have the tools they need to manage company benefits with confidence.
We’ve been remote-first since day one, with a fully distributed team across the U.S. We value curiosity, ownership, and speed — and we build in the open, together. If you’re energized by solving complex, meaningful problems and want to help reshape how healthcare works from the inside out, we’d love to meet you
