We are looking for a Senior Research Strategist to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions!  This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best in class service to our customers.

In this role, you will lead high-impact research initiatives that shape customer-facing, AI-focused experiences across large-scale, end-to-end journeys. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business objectives into human-centered insights, driving clarity, strategy, and design direction. This role sits within an AI-centric innovation studio that conducts envisioning workshops, facilitates research engagements, and helps enterprise customers reimagine their operations through an AI lens. Expect a fast-paced, iterative environment where strategic thinking, storytelling, and customer empathy are core to daily success.

You will also be expected to travel quarterly for customer workshops, field studies, or research engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a wide range of research methodologies including qualitative, quantitative, foundational, generative, and evaluative approaches.
  • Design, plan, and facilitate interviews, field research, international studies, and surveys.
  • Recommend the most effective research methods and areas of focus aligned with business goals and customer needs.
  • Lead executive-level stakeholder conversations and set clear expectations with influence and diplomacy.
  • Develop and drive foundational research strategies, identifying key customer moments of truth.
  • Translate complex findings into compelling narratives that create enthusiasm, alignment, and action among stakeholders.
  • Present solutions and insights clearly and succinctly, even when navigating ambiguous design spaces.
  • Review and validate research outcomes with internal partners, peers, and customers to maintain transparency and shared understanding.
  • Communicate holistic, customer-centric solutions across multiple levels of detail.
  • Apply design thinking principles and customer experience frameworks to shape connected, scalable experiences.
  • Contribute to AI Envisioning workshops that help organizations reimagine processes and possibilities through AI.

Qualifications:

Experience Requirement: 8–10+ years overall experience

Education + Experience (one of the following):

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (HCI, UX, Human Factors, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, etc.) and 8+ years of UX Research experience
  • Master’s degree and 6+ years of UX Research experience
  • Doctorate degree and 4+ years of UX Research experience
  • Equivalent practical experience

Additional Required Experience:

  • 6+ years designing and leading co-creation, ideation, and design thinking workshops.
  • 6+ years conducting 1:1 customer interviews.
  • 8+ years working on digital experiences involving AI, self-service, omnichannel, or automation-based solutions.
  • Strong ability to analyze research data, synthesize insights, and communicate findings through compelling storytelling.
  • Ability to conduct research analysis and reporting independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience with enterprise (B2B) customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years applying research methods that influence both strategic product direction and detailed experience design.
  • Demonstrated understanding of AI concepts such as machine learning, natural language processing, and AI-enabled experience design.
  • 3+ years industry experience working within enterprise technology sectors.
  • Experience conducting or designing for AI-focused workshops and envisioning sessions.
  • Strong workshop facilitation skills for executive-level engagements.

Salary Range

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $80,000 to $93,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
