About Neon

Neon is a global payments and e-commerce platform designed to help game publishers earn more money and independence from app stores. We believe commerce should be open and transparent: clear decisions, actionable insights, and aligned incentives. Founded by payments, fintech and gaming veterans, Neon focuses on product and partnership excellence: we share the playbook, co-pilot decisions, and abstract away risk and complexity for our customers. We’re replacing old-school, black-box relics with clear, modern, and developer-centric infrastructure.

As an early team member, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and scale Neon’s product and culture, making a direct impact on our growth and success. You’ll join a collaborative, diverse team from world-class companies like Apple, Affirm, Unity, and Visa, backed by renowned VC's including Thrive, a16z, Griffin Gaming, Ribbit, and Renegade. If you want to build disruptive technology, challenge the status quo, and help game creators thrive on their own terms, read on.

Your Mission

We’re looking for a high-caliber, driven, and fast-learning Sales Manager to join our Sales team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of expanding Neon’s customer portfolio across North America - sourcing new opportunities, forging partnerships with game developers, and maximizing the success of existing customers. You’ll own the end-to-end sales cycle, driving customer growth, nurturing long-term relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver seamless onboarding, integration, and performance on our platform.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and secure new partnerships with game developers to grow Neon’s customer portfolio.

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue and growth targets.

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, ensuring optimal performance and delivering value to both Neon and its customers.

  • Negotiation & Contracts: Lead negotiations with potential and existing customers, managing contract agreements and financial terms to ensure mutually beneficial relationships.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with customer success, product, and technical teams to ensure seamless onboarding, integration, and optimization of customers.

  • Market Research: Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market changes to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies as needed.

  • Event Attendance: Be the Neon ambassador at industry events and conferences.

Attributes

  • Growth Mindset: Embrace continuous learning; challenge the status quo, be brave, ‘fail fast’, and rapidly iterate.

  • Driven & Ambitious: Possesses a proactive, go-getter mindset. Keen to develop and grow with the company and as individuals.

  • Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying problems and implementing solutions.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate with internal teams and align client needs with business goals.

Qualifications

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in quota-carrying sales, business development, or partnerships roles, preferably in gaming, SaaS, fintech, or payments.

  • Familiarity with the North American gaming studio ecosystem, including an understanding of how studios evaluate partners and build long-term commercial relationships; existing connections with game developers or studios are a plus.

  • Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and pipeline development through negotiation and deal closure, preferably in a high-growth environment.

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data and market insights into actionable sales opportunities and growth strategies.

Other

  • Reporting: Head of Growth

  • Location: US-based. Preferably San Francisco or New York

  • Travel: 25%
