The Senior SAP Basis Consultant plays a critical role in delivering complex SAP transformation initiatives, combining deep technical SAP administration expertise with data migration and system transformation capabilities. This role supports enterprise customers through system landscape optimization, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganizations.
Leveraging advanced SAP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and tools like SAP NetWeaver, the consultant ensures high-performing, secure, and scalable environments while enabling data-driven transformation using SNP solutions such as Kyano and CrystalBridge®.

Key Responsibilities
SAP Basis & Technical Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems across landscapes (DEV, QA, PROD)
- Administer SAP environments including instances, application servers, and profiles
- Manage transports, system copies, client copies, and refreshes
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability
- Analyze dumps, logs (ST22, SM21), and resolve technical issues
- Perform system tuning and optimization
Transformation & Data Migration
- Design and implement technical solutions for:
- Mergers & acquisitions
- Carve-outs and divestitures
- System consolidations and reorganizations
- Develop data migration strategies including:
- Data extraction and mapping rules
- Data validation and reconciliation
- Cutover planning and execution
- Execute transformation projects using SNP tools and methodologies
Solution Design & Implementation
- Analyze business and technical requirements to design scalable SAP solutions
- Prepare detailed technical specifications and architecture designs
- Lead setup, configuration, testing cycles, and documentation
- Support go-live activities and post-go-live stabilization
Database & Infrastructure Management
- Work with databases such as SAP HANA and other supported platforms
- Coordinate backups, restores, and disaster recovery strategies
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams on OS and hardware performance
Development & Technical Support
- Provide ABAP development support when required
- Assist with enhancements, troubleshooting, and performance improvements
- Support large-scale SAP implementations and integrations
Presales & Client Engagement
- Support presales activities including:
- Customer meetings
- Solution presentations
- Proposal preparation
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on SAP transformation strategies
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Mentor and coach junior consultants
- Contribute to internal tool improvements and innovation initiatives
- Develop test scenarios and support quality assurance processes
- Stay current with emerging SAP technologies and best practices
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of SAP consulting or SAP Basis experience
- Strong knowledge of SAP architecture and system landscapes
- Hands-on experience with SAP tools (STMS, RZ10, SM37, ST22, DB02, etc.)
- Experience with data migration and transformation projects
- Knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., SD) and integration points
- Experience with ABAP development/support
- Familiarity with data volume analysis at system and table level
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to work independently and in team environments
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Willingness to travel
- Fluent in English
- Must reside in the US
