Bridgeway is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to lead complex Scrum implementations across multiple product and platform teams, mentor and develop other Scrum Masters, and align Agile practices with organizational objectives. In this role, you will act as a coach and facilitator to multiple teams, partnering with Product Owners, engineering leadership, and senior management to remove impediments, improve delivery predictability, and foster a high-performing Agile environment. The role blends hands-on ceremony facilitation with program-level coaching and change leadership, contributing to the standards, metrics, and practices that shape how Technology teams deliver. 

This is a remote position with preference given to East Coast candidates.  


Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Ensure team members understand project objectives, focusing on cross-functional accountability, teamwork, and iterative processes toward well-defined goals.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced Scrum Masters and team members on Agile practices and principles.
  • Facilitate productivity by setting up meetings and removing blockers that obstruct the team’s sprint goals or performance.
  • Facilitate Scrum of Scrum meetings to track quarterly release progress across teams.
  • Protect the team from outside influences to ensure the team remains focused on priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across multiple teams, using retrospectives to identify opportunities that optimize velocity and quality while mitigating risks.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Product Owner, Lead Engineer/development team, and senior management to ensure all milestones and requirements are met.
  • Partner with senior management within Technology to develop best practices, process enhancements, and strategic planning to increase velocity and overall team effectiveness. 
  • Partner with the Product Owner to ensure backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team.
  • Develop and track key performance metrics for teams, using data to drive continuous improvement and Agile practices refinement.
  • Track the overall team’s progress and routinely communicate/report to senior management.
  • Ensure all Scrum teams follow defined policies and procedures for consistent results across teams.
  • Enforce process and policies, including timesheets and ADO maintenance.
  • Identify risks and impediments to sprint/project deliverables and work towards mitigation and proactive escalation.
  • Help new hires with process adoption and maintain process documentation as it evolves.
  • Coordinate with Professional Services for work prioritization, critical escalations and unplanned work disruptions and project go live.
  • Leverage generative AI tools such as Claude and Copilot to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, improve solution quality, and accelerate delivery of business outcomes.

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in software development execution using Agile methodology.
  • Advanced Scrum Master Certification required (e.g., Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II)).
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching teams, with a proven track record of driving continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in setting and producing meaningful sprint metrics to track, interpret, and course-correct based on data.
  • Experience with ADO, or similar tools for tracking and managing development work.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience using generative AI tools such as Claude and Copilot to improve productivity and deliver high-quality outcome.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
