Risepoint is an education technology company that provides world-class support and trusted expertise to more than 100 universities and colleges. We primarily work with regional universities, helping them develop and grow their high-ROI, workforce-focused online degree programs in critical areas such as nursing, teaching, business, and public service. Risepoint is dedicated to increasing access to affordable education so that more students, especially working adults, can improve their careers and meet employer and community needs.

The Impact You Will Make

In this role, you will play a critical leadership role in the successful migration of Risepoint’s university partner websites to a new digital platform. You will own and drive SEO strategy across a complex, multi-site migration portfolio, ensuring that organic visibility, traffic, and conversions are preserved—and improved—through every transition.

You will lead multiple, concurrent migrations, bringing structure, rigor, and repeatability to a highly complex process. Your expertise will guide end-to-end migration planning, including information architecture recommendations, site mapping, URL mapping, redirect strategy, and content auditing (retain, refresh, retire). You will ensure that every migration is grounded in search demand, user intent, and technical best practices to minimize risk and unlock performance gains post-launch.

Partnering closely with UX and Front-End teams, you will influence layout, navigation, and interaction design to ensure search-optimized, user-centric experiences. You will also play a key role in improving template performance at enterprise scale—ensuring that the new platform enables faster, more scalable, and more effective SEO execution across all partner sites.

Your work will directly impact the success of platform adoption, enabling seamless transitions while strengthening site performance across traditional search and AI-driven discovery environments. By establishing scalable migration frameworks, best practices, and governance, you will help Risepoint execute migrations with consistency, speed, and measurable

What You Will Do

SEO Migration Leadership & Execution – Lead SEO strategy for multiple simultaneous website migrations across a portfolio of university partner sites. Define and operationalize scalable migration frameworks, playbooks, and governance models. Own and deliver key migration artifacts including site maps, URL and redirect mapping, redirect logic and QA validation processes. Identify and mitigate SEO risks pre-, during-, and post-migration to protect and improve organic performance

• Information Architecture & Content Strategy – Provide strategic recommendations for information architecture aligned to Risepoint’s Global IA, search demand, user intent, and conversion goals. Conduct comprehensive content audits to determine retain, refresh, consolidate, or retire actions. Partner with Content teams to ensure migrated and net-new content supports topical authority and performance goals

• SEO & AEO Optimization – Drive on-page optimization strategies across migrated and existing content, including metadata, internal linking, and entity alignment. Implement strategies to improve visibility in AI-driven search environments, including generative engines and answer-based experiences

• Technical SEO & Platform Optimization – Partner with Engineering, MarTech, and Front-End teams to ensure the new platform supports SEO best practices at scale. Improve template performance across Core Web Vitals, crawlability, indexation, structured data, and rendering. Ensure proper implementation of redirects, canonicals, internal linking, and schema during migrations

• Performance Analysis & Reporting – Analyze organic performance trends pre/post-migrations, diagnose issues and opportunities, and communicate insights to leadership. Communicate insights, risks, and progress to stakeholders and leadership with clarity and actionability

• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Serve as the SEO subject matter expert across migration initiatives, influencing stakeholders across Product, UX, Engineering, Content, and Analytics. Partner with Content, UX, CRO, Paid Media, and Analytics teams to ensure integrated migration initiatives and optimization strategies that drive discoverability, engagement, and conversion

What Success Looks Like

• Successful execution of multiple, concurrent website migrations with minimal traffic loss and strong post-launch performance gains.

• Measurable preservation and growth of organic traffic, rankings, and conversions pre- vs. post-migration

• Reduction in migration-related SEO issues through proactive planning, QA, and governance. Demonstrated improvements in template performance, technical SEO health, and scalability of optimization efforts.

Experience That Matters Most

• 6-8 years organic performance optimization for enterprise, agency, or multi-site ecosystems that demonstrates experience driving measurable gains in organic traffic, conversion, and visibility.

• Proven experience leading multiple, complex website migrations simultaneously, including large-scale or enterprise platform transitions. Strong experience developing information architecture, site maps, and content strategies aligned to search intent. Experience collaborating closely with UX, design, and engineering teams to influence site experience and performance.

• Strong analytical capability, with experience translating performance data into prioritized, actionable SEO recommendations. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Deep expertise in technical SEO, including site architecture, URL structures, redirects, crawlability, indexation, and performance optimization

Experience That's Great to Have

• Experience optimizing for AI-driven search experiences, including AEO or generative search environments

• Experience improving CMS/DXP templates and components at scale. Experience building repeatable frameworks, playbooks, or governance models for large-scale digital initiatives.

• Experience working in higher education, or similarly complex, multi-brand ecosystems
