About IBBX:
IBBX Wireless Energy is at the forefront of developing breakthrough technology that delivers wireless electricity. The company has created and patented protocols that allow energy harvesting from electromagnetic waves; IBBX also produces an integrated circuit that executes such harvesting. It is the first real step into eliminating cables and vastly reducing battery sizes in electronic devices.

With a current team of 70 dedicated professionals, IBBX is in a phase of rapid growth, experiencing significant year-over-year expansion. Our culture is grounded in values of efficiency, respect, and diversity, and we are on a mission to attract, develop, and retain world-class talent aligned with our vision of creating impactful and world-changing innovations.

The first adopters of our technology are industries that rely on predictive maintenance of their production parks.

Our first product is the IBBX Retina Suite for industry 4.0, a set of sensors that feed from the machine’s (wasted) electromagnetic energy, and they just work – no cable, no battery replacement. They also happen to speak a proprietary wireless data protocol that is optimized for long distances, ideal for large industrial and agricultural environments. It may seem a bit too techie, we know, but all this is to explain why our Retina Suite has a line of clients waiting to acquire it, an example of how successful we can be in the near future.

Role Overview:

IBBX is seeking Senior Software Engineers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing robust and scalable software solutions with a focus on infrastructure and performance optimization. You will play a key role in hardware and software integration. You will also develop software using either Python, Java, JavaScript (using React frameworks).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Software Development and Infrastructure:

  • Develop and maintain scalable and secure software solutions, with a strong focus on infrastructure and cloud environments.

  • Create cloud solutions that meet performance and security requirements, ensuring high availability and resilience.

  • Design and implement new features and optimizations in existing systems, maintaining high quality and efficiency.

2. Web Development and Device Integration:

  • Work on web application development using JavaScript and modern frameworks, ensuring scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solutions.

  • Integrate hardware and software by collaborating closely with hardware engineering teams to ensure optimized connectivity and performance of IoT devices and integrated systems.

3. Solution Architecture and Performance:

  • Design solution architectures that meet both technical and business requirements of IBBX, focusing on scalability and performance.

  • Optimize systems to ensure fast response times and efficient resource utilization.

4. Collaboration and Innovation:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software solutions with hardware goals and customer needs.

  • Contribute to innovation within the company by bringing new ideas and approaches to improve system integration and performance.

Qualifications:
  • Solid experience in software development, with a strong focus on AWS and cloud infrastructure.

  • Proficiency in developing web applications, preferably using JavaScript and modern frameworks.

  • Substantial knowledge in algorithm complexity theory, in order to guarantee scalable solutions.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams with a holistic view of software and hardware.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize systems and improve connectivity and performance.

  • [plus] Experience in hardware and software integration, especially in IoT environments and connected systems.

Why Join IBBX?

At IBBX, you will have the opportunity to work with an innovative and dynamic team that is shaping the future of cloud and IoT solutions. We value collaboration, innovation, and efficiency, and offer an environment that promotes professional growth and knowledge exchange. If you're passionate about software development and want to work on challenging projects, IBBX is the ideal place for you.
