Senior Software Engineer (K8s Operator)

Our team is responsible for the Dynatrace Operator, a critical component that manages the rollout and lifecycle of our observability stack across Kubernetes and OpenShift environments. As a Team Captain, you will act as both a technical contributor and a mentor, focusing on the success and well-being of the Kubernetes Operator team. You will be responsible for your team members' professional and personal growth, supporting them through regular 1:1s, feedback sessions, and career development. Beyond the technical scope of the Dynatrace Operator, you will foster a collaborative team culture, resolve conflicts, and handle administrative tasks, including performance evaluation and hiring. By acting as a bridge between your team and leadership, you ensure that every engineer has what they need to reach their full potential while keeping our product moving forward.

• Experience as a Team Lead with a passion for mentoring, code reviewing, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Deep technical knowledge of Kubernetes and experience designing and building Kubernetes Operators from scratch.
• Solid programming skills, especially with Go and Object-Oriented design.
• A "quality first" mindset - you care about writing clean code and making sure it is well-tested.
• An open-minded approach to problem-solving and experience working effectively within distributed teams.
