What you will do

  • Contribute to Sysdig's scale-out effort by designing and building backend features that handle increasing customer demand and data volume, reporting to Sr. Manager, Engineering.
  • Develop scalable APIs and services that power runtime threat detection, policy enforcement, and alerting.
  • Work with a team of engineers to evolve architecture for reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Product, Threat Research, Frontend, Design, and Customer-facing teams to create features with impact.
  • Handle real-time and historical security data across multi-cloud environments including Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, and IBM Cloud.
  • Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and operational support of services your team owns.

What you will bring with you

  • 7+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, in algorithms, data structures, systems design, and large-scale distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience designing and building scalable backend services, including APIs and data processing pipelines.
  • Experience with Go, Java, or C++ in production environments.
  • Experience with containerized workloads and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Experience logging best practices and emitting useful metrics for observability and troubleshooting of distributed systems.
  • Experience with AI tools to increase your and your team's productivity.
  • Experience building or operating security products is a plus.

The U.S. annual on target earnings (OTE) range for this full-time position is between 143,000 USD and 179,000 USD/year. Actual offers may be higher or lower than this range based on a variety of factors, including your work location, job-related experience and education.
