GENERAL PURPOSE
As Senior Software Engineer – Salesforce, Technology, you’ll play a vital role at MillerKnoll. We are looking for a proactive individual who can help us implement Salesforce in our organization. Our Salesforce user experience is of great importance to us; therefore, the Senior Salesforce engineer should enjoy all aspects of Salesforce and designing solutions with user satisfaction as a priority.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop Apex classes, Lightning components, and Visualforce to extend Salesforce to support business requirements.
Configure Salesforce solutions using point and click tools available on the platform (Workflows, Approval processes, Case management, entitlements, assignment rules etc.).
Integrate with internal/external services using various Salesforce integration capabilities.
Collaborating with Salesforce team to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits).
Integrating and maintaining business applications to Salesforce.
Adhere to Salesforce best practices and governor limits.
Document solutions for future reference and incident deflection.
Applies problem solving skills and executes solutions to problems independently.
Assist Product Owners in defining new features and translating technical requirements.
Clearly communicate status and open issues to development team and leads.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Salesforce Sales/Service cloud product knowledge and at least 8 years of Salesforce development experience.
Proficient with user management, case management, API integration, reports/dashboards and the Salesforce development lifecycle.
Able to work independently.
Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders / other Salesforce team members.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with Experience cloud and Agentforce development.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
10+ years of enterprise-level software development experience.
8+ years of Salesforce cloud experience.

Desirable:
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder.
Experience with AI/ML integrations or Generative AI is a plus.

 
Skills and Abilities
Required:
Experience implementing and developing in Apex, LWC, and Visualforce.
Experience integrating both internal/external services using Salesforce capabilities.
Ability to write, interpret, and critique technical specifications.
Ability to gather requirements and present solutions to stakeholders.

Desirable:
Competency in other languages / development (JavaScript, SQL, REST/SOAP-based web services etc.).
Demonstrates continued personal/professional development.
Active in the Salesforce community.

Compensation range for this role is $97,290.00 - $126,500.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
