Job Description:

Voyant is looking for server side Java developers to improve, expand, and/or redesign our core server component utilizing leading edge security and cloud computing services.

Location: Austin, TX (onsite)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coding and Development - Design, implement, and maintain software solutions such as service APIs and web applications. Write efficient, reusable, and modular code. Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Technical Leadership - Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team. Mentor junior developers and assist in their professional development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers.
  • Architecture and Design - Ensure that the software architecture is scalable, maintainable, and meets security standards.
  • Code Review - Collaborate with team members to identify and address issues in the codebase. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and best practices.
  • Problem Solving – Analyze complex technical problems and propose innovative solutions. Troubleshoot and debug software issues in a timely manner.
  • Project Management - Contribute to project planning, prioritization, and delivery schedules.
  • Communication – Communicate effectively with team members, business partners, and stakeholders.
  • Continuous Learning – Staying updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Security – Implement and follow security best practices in software development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, or equivalent field.
  • 4+ years Java development experience.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Expertise with Spring and Hibernate.
  • Experience implementing SSO solutions such as SAML and OpenID.
  • MySQL or other RDBMS.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and helps to define the product design.
  • Comfortable working in an agile development process.
  • Must like dogs (they are in the office, everyday).

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $135,000-$150,000.

 

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
