What you will do:

  • Contribute to a High-Performing Team: Collaborate with fellow engineers using AI-powered tools to design and deliver innovative solutions, bringing strong technical expertise and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

  • Build and Maintain Full-Stack Applications: Design, implement, and support features using technologies like JavaScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and AWS. Our stack also includes StyleX, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS serverless technologies, AWS Bedrock, Python, GitHub Actions, Playwright, Terraform, and AWS CloudFormation. You don’t need to know every tool, but strong engineering fundamentals and adaptability are essential.

  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to build intuitive features that meet user needs and align with our mission.

  • Use AI as a Force Multiplier: Accelerate development with tools like Cursor while relying on solid engineering fundamentals to efficiently produce high-quality, maintainable code. We see AI as an assistant—not a substitute—for thoughtful, experienced engineers.

  • Raise the Bar on How We Work: Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing, and technical discussions while modeling best practices. Help pioneer and refine evolving team processes, and play a key role in shaping how we work as our tools and technologies advance.

  • Contribute to Company Culture: Embody our values by approaching your work with empathy, curiosity, and accountability. We’re looking for teammates who elevate others, embrace inclusive collaboration, and aren’t afraid to take smart risks in pursuit of bold, mission-driven outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience or strong interest in using AI-enhanced development tools like Cursor, and openness to experimenting with new workflows in an AI-first engineering environment.

  • 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally with exposure to full-stack development in production systems.

  • Strong experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue, etc.) and a backend language like Node.js, Python, Java, or similar.

  • Comfort working in cloud environments, especially AWS, and understanding of modern CI/CD practices.

  • By joining our team, you'll have the opportunity to help NPOs and NGOs make a significant impact in communities nationwide while working with cutting-edge technologies and a talented team of engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep experience building with React and Node.js, using best practices to create scalable, maintainable applications.

  • Practical experience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway).

  • Experience building or working with AI agents, including tools that use LLMs for autonomous or semi-autonomous workflows.

  • Exposure to the needs of users within the nonprofit, public sector, or social good space.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
