PIC Business Systems, part of the Fullsteam organization, is a leading provider of web-based ERP software solutions, specializing in industry-specific applications for manufacturing and distribution businesses. Our flagship product, PIC ERP, is a fully integrated, web-based ERP platform that manages the complete business lifecycle—from quote to delivery. The system supports multiple verticals including window covering manufacturers and retailers, apparel and promotional product distributors, fabric mills and workrooms, and wholesale distributors.

Job Summary

PIC Business Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to join our development team and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our enterprise ERP platform.

This remote role focuses on delivering high-quality software solutions and supporting both internal teams and customer implementations. The ideal candidate is capable, collaborative, and detail-oriented, working on a variety of tasks that impact production and client satisfaction. The position is designed for individuals who want a challenging technical role without formal leadership responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review all tasks in the personal queue daily and respond promptly to maintain productivity.

  • Escalate tasks that remain unresolved for more than five workdays to the Team Leader for review and guidance.

  • Actively participate in all team meetings, contributing ideas and feedback on team tasks and projects.

  • Use Google Calendar to schedule meetings, respect appointments, and collaborate effectively with co-workers.

  • Proactively communicate with the Team Leader and Manager if there are risks to the estimated task completion dates.

  • Occasionally work beyond standard hours, including weekends, to meet critical task deadlines.

  • Collaborate with senior developers to design, code, test, debug, and document software solutions following established standards.

  • Conduct basic testing and debugging of software to ensure high-quality outputs.

  • Engage directly with customers during the build phase to ensure requirements are met and provide support where needed.

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and apply them to projects where relevant.

Key Competencies and Skills

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL; understanding of object-oriented and procedural coding methodologies.

  • Basic familiarity with Linux command line functions; ability to perform basic tasks such as file management, process management, and permissions handling.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in effectively conveying technical information to internal and external customers.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting, managing time effectively to meet deadlines.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant software development experience, preferably within a team-based environment.
