About Pearl
Pearl is shaping the future of dentistry with a suite of AI solutions developed to establish higher standards of quality and care for patients worldwide. Since 2019, our team has engineered FDA-cleared computer vision capabilities for the interpretation of 2D and 3D dental imagery — industry-leading capabilities which clinicians, practice owners, labs, and insurers use to elevate the efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of dental care around the world.

At Pearl, we believe AI isn’t just what we build, it’s how we build. We’re looking for engineers who embrace AI-powered development tools to dramatically amplify their output and ship better software, faster.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with a modern, AI-augmented approach to software development. You thrive in high-velocity environments and actively leverage AI tools to multiply your impact, not just as a nice-to-have, but as a core part of how you work every day.

  • Takes full ownership of a product from an engineering perspective — from architecture to deployment

  • Designs, builds, and scales robust backend and frontend components for our clinical product suite

  • Leverages AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and others) as a force multiplier, consistently operating at a multiple of the output of traditional development workflows

  • Brings a product-focused mindset to engineering work, balancing technical execution with usability, business goals, and real-world constraints to deliver impactful user experiences

  • Collaborates cross-functionally with ML, product, and engineering teams to develop intelligent, reliable features

  • Ensures high-quality software via automated testing, code review, and sound engineering practices

  • Stays current with the rapidly evolving AI tooling landscape and proactively shares learnings with the team

  • Helps define and champion AI-first engineering best practices across the organization

What You’ll Do

  • Build and ship features across Pearl’s clinical product suite using AI-assisted development workflows

  • Use tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Gemini to accelerate code generation, debugging, documentation, and code review

  • Architect scalable systems that integrate with Pearl’s ML and computer vision pipelines

  • Drive improvements in engineering velocity and quality by identifying where AI tooling can reduce friction

  • Mentor teammates on effective AI-augmented development practices

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience

  • Strong proficiency in backend and/or frontend development (Python, TypeScript, React, or similar)

  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, etc.) in production or professional workflows

  • Ability to evaluate and rapidly adopt new AI tools as the ecoSenior Software Engineer

  • Willingness to travel as needed to support business priorities

Bonus

  • Experience in start-up, high-growth SaaS software development

  • Familiarity with ML/AI systems, computer vision, or data pipelines

  • Prior experience establishing AI tooling standards or workflows at an engineering org

What We Offer

  • Work on technology that directly improves patient outcomes worldwide

  • Join a team that treats AI as a core productivity layer — not an afterthought

  • Competitive Benefit and Compensation Offerings

  • Flexible PTO

  • Remote-friendly culture with a collaborative, high-trust team
