The Role

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect who combines strong cloud architecture expertise, consulting experience, and an AI-first approach to problem solving.

This is a client-facing consulting role focused on helping enterprise customers modernize systems, optimize cloud environments, reduce cloud costs, and adopt AI in practical and measurable ways.

The most successful candidates are former software engineers who evolved into architecture and consulting roles and are equally comfortable discussing implementation details, architecture tradeoffs, business impact, and cloud economics.

What You'll DoClient Advisory & Solution Design
  • Work directly with customer stakeholders to understand business and technical objectives

  • Design architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP

  • Lead discovery workshops and architecture assessments

  • Translate complex technical challenges into practical roadmaps

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering leaders and executives

Cost Optimization & Cloud Efficiency
  • Lead cloud cost optimization initiatives for enterprise customers

  • Identify architectural opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce spend

  • Design governance frameworks that sustain long-term savings

  • Help customers establish FinOps best practices

  • Leverage Helias and other optimization tools to drive measurable outcomes

AI-Enabled Transformation
  • Help customers adopt AI across engineering and operational workflows

  • Design solutions that incorporate AI-assisted automation and decision-making

  • Evaluate AI technologies, platforms, and tradeoffs

  • Guide customers on practical AI adoption strategies

Technical Leadership
  • Guide engineering teams through architecture decisions

  • Mentor engineers and architects

  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and operationally sound

  • Provide technical leadership throughout modernization programs

What We're Looking ForNon-Negotiables
  • 8+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Professional services, consulting, or customer-facing architecture experience

  • Experience leading cloud modernization or migration initiatives

  • Strong understanding of cloud cost optimization principles

  • Production experience with Kubernetes

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Demonstrated use of AI in day-to-day engineering, architecture, or consulting workflows

  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments

Technical Experience

Cloud Architecture

  • Enterprise cloud architecture

  • Multi-account and multi-region environments

  • High-availability and scalable systems

  • Security and governance best practices

Software Engineering

  • Strong engineering background

  • Experience building or maintaining production systems

  • Python preferred

  • Experience discussing implementation tradeoffs with engineering teams

Cost Optimization

  • FinOps principles

  • Rightsizing

  • Savings Plans and Reserved Instances

  • Cloud governance

  • Architecture-driven cost reduction

AI

  • Practical experience using AI tools and workflows

  • Understanding of LLMs and enterprise AI adoption

  • Ability to evaluate AI technologies and tradeoffs

Consulting & Business Skills

Strong candidates will demonstrate:
