Role Summary

The Senior Solutions Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for shaping complex digital transformation solutions in collaboration with customers, partners, and internal teams. This role complements the Digital Transformation Executives (DTEs) by providing deep technical expertise, advanced solution design, and partner co-sell innovation. The role will serve as the technical voice of the customer and partner ecosystem, influencing product roadmaps while ensuring solutions deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Technical Solutioning

  • Lead high-value technical engagements with customers and partners, focusing on complex or multi-solution opportunities.

  • Design reference architectures, integration patterns, and solution blueprints tailored to industry use cases (FSI, Retail, Healthcare).

  • Oversee advanced Proofs of Concept (POCs) that validate solution viability and scalability.

  • Mentor Sales Engineers and DTEs on technical storytelling, solution demos, and customer-facing technical workshops.

  • Collaborate with, and lead broader teams to create deliverables with excellence while working within ambitious timelines.

Partner Co-Sell & Ecosystem Enablement

  • Collaborate with Hyperscalers, GSIs, ISVs, and regional SIs to design and deliver joint solutions.

  • Lead technical roadmap workshops with partners and internal Product Owners.

  • Provide technical enablement for partners to drive adoption of Iron Mountain’s digital solutions.

  • Represent Iron Mountain’s partner-led solutions at industry events, summits, and conferences.

Customer & Product Advocacy

  • Act as the technical “Voice of the Customer” and “Voice of the Partner” to influence product direction.

  • Provide structured feature-level feedback to Product and Engineering to accelerate roadmap alignment with customer needs.

  • Develop technical collateral (reference architectures, whitepapers, data sheets, blogs) to support field teams and partners.

Market & Innovation Leadership

  • Stay current on emerging technologies (AI/ML, LLMs, content services, data governance, automation) and their impact on business transformation.

  • Identify new solution opportunities leveraging ISV and Hyperscaler capabilities (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, ServiceNow, Workday).

  • Champion best practices for digital solution architecture, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant designs.

Key Skills & Competencies

Primary Skills (Core to Role):

  • Deep expertise in enterprise architecture and solution design across SaaS, PaaS, BPO, and data/content management.

  • Strong industry knowledge (Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare) and ability to tailor solutions to vertical challenges.

  • Technical proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for solution prototyping and automation.

  • Experience designing and guiding solutions that incorporate AI/ML, workflow automation, and intelligent document processing.

  • Ability to mentor sales engineers and guide technical discovery and POCs.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to pivot between C-level strategy discussions and deep technical architecture reviews.

Secondary Skills (Advantageous):

  • Knowledge of ERP, CRM, ECM, Information Governance, and BI platforms.

  • Familiarity with enterprise networking, security, backup/recovery, and data protection architectures.

  • Experience with hyperscale platforms (AWS S3/REST, Azure, GCP) and ISVs (Snowflake, OpenAI, ServiceNow, Workday).

  • Strong presentation and enablement skills for both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7+ years in Solution Architecture, Pre-Sales Engineering, or Technical Consulting roles.

  • Proven track record designing and delivering enterprise digital transformation solutions.

  • Experience collaborating with Hyperscalers, GSIs, ISVs, or partner ecosystems on co-sell initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence product roadmaps and deliver technical thought leadership.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred) or equivalent experience.

Success Measures

  • Contribution to bookings through solution design and partner-led opportunities.

  • Partner co-sell solution launches and adoption rates.

  • Number of advanced POCs successfully converted to production.

  • Customer and partner satisfaction with solution design and delivery.

  • Influence on product roadmap via structured feedback and advocacy.

Reasonably expected salary range: $142,100.00 - $189,400.00 + commissions.
